Seeing Roglic stomping the Ineos train on Krabelin was priceless. One minute Ineos had everything under control with teammates all around Martinez. Next minute everyone was gone!!!!! LOL.

Krabelin is a monster climb. Alaway brings a lot of spectacle. The fact that they always put it like 40 km from the finish also helps a lot in the race.

Roglič doing a (mini) stomp edition for the fans.

Not sure this was a serious post, but…because Vingegard, in a non-target race for Roglic, was 6th, with Roglic clearly out of form and not gunning for the victory, he should be the leader over the second most dominant GC rider of the past 3 years?

If Roglic is in training mode, he might not be going deep and that is enough to drop significant time with these steep gradients. I do think his goal though is first and foremost the Tour.
Apparently knee problems over the last week or two.

Chapeau Dany. He was the strongest in the race.

This was a very important race for Remco IMHO. He just needs more experience and more miles. He probably needs a bit more discipline during the winter. But he is becoming better. Great to see him ride like this.

When I said he is an Ullrich clone... he is in more ways than his riding style. Needs to control his weight better.

Don't become Strudel Boy 2.0

Cofidis (here with Izagirre) have a really good 2022 until now.

In the last 15 years, they became more and more a team of rather weak WT cyclists. This year, however, they are really strong.

These Izagirre guys (Gorka is good, too) are often a little bit underrated, I think. They both are mean machines, however, who are super in climbing, TT and sprints.

Gorka chose Movistar (maybe because of their great bikes and nice jerseys), but Ion dared to join Cofidis, and it was a win-win situation for Cofidis and Ion (until now). :)

He's roughly 5kg heavier than he was prior to the Giro. For guys weighing around 61kg, that is indeed immense.
He's roughly 5KG heavier than last Giro? Is there a source for this? Also it's unlikely that everyone else is at peak condition body composition wise either.
Tried to find pictures of similar angles and lighting. He looks a bit heavier, but 5KG is a huge amount.

5kg heavy?

He needs Dr Nowzaraden.

Damn, Remco.... get the weight under control. That would explain why he is having trouble on the steep slopes

Vingegaard apologised to Izagirre after the stage and said to him that he was happy that he had won despite the crash.

So maybe we should put a little bit of a brake on the demonisation of Vingegaard that has been going on the last couple of days. I'm quite sure he is not a bad guy even if I'm not a big fan, either.
Seems like a bully to me, bossing people around left and right in the peloton, feels very entitled to me. His gesturing and flailing with his arms makes him even more unlikeable.
Very happy he didn't podium today,

I don't think he's more significantly off his peak body composition than the other riders tbh. Also if it was that simple to just lose weight maintain power, considering how heavy Richie Porte has looked this year he'd probably be a favourite to win the Giro Tour double if he could just drop 5KGs and maintain power :flushed:. Sad that's it's not that simple though, as that would be a hilarious turn of events.

Some have this delusion that if you are not the best at climbing the 15+% gradients, you are not a GT contender. There would be triple coronaries if we had a real GT course again with 100+ km of flat TT and finishing climbs averaging between 6 and 7%

Just give Remco the 2012 Tour route in 2023.

He said himself he was below 60kg in May. The team said he took on some weight (muscle) and is now heavier than after previous winters. In 2019 he was 64kg at the start of the season. It would also line up with his power data on Strava from what i understand.

The way some people are talking about Evenepoel's weight right now would have you believe he looks like this...
