he isn't. He said that he sees this as a 3rd week of his training camp. A GC result on top would be a bonus.Nice teamwork but honestly if Remco is serious about being a GC rider he needs to stop doing stuff like this
Remco is not longer a Belgian Simon Spilak?
He is now a Belgian Giovanni Lombardi
Wouldn't even be surprised if his first GT stage win ends up coming from drifting off the front at a kilometre to go in a Vuelta sprint stage later this year.Remco is the new Gert Steegmans sounds like a thing now
Why?
Doing things like this will do nothing to hurt any quest that he has. It give him fitness, confidence, is fun, respect and appreciation by his peers. There are more positive than negatives. The only thing that could be risky is a crash. But by how fast he goes it is actually safer to be number one of the group!Nice teamwork but honestly if Remco is serious about being a GC rider he needs to stop doing stuff like this

If he was the number 1 favorite then I would question this but not really in his case.
Of course, Pogacar’s form never seems to drop much, but for any other rider I would say that the (almost) 3 weeks from now till LBL is a long time to hold top form. We’ll see.I wished Ruiz of Kern Pharma would win this. He was strong.
And I thought afterwards, „Let Ala and Remco have their fun here, before they get destroyed in the Ardennes!“…
Probably, in LBL, Remco dropped by UAE with 40kms to go, Ala dropped by Pog with 20kms to go…![]()

The new Bradley McGeeEvenepoel is going to be a world class lead out man.
Remco the professional lead out man. Move over Morkov.
Masnada can followI wished Ruiz of Kern Pharma would win this. He was strong.

Good point. I’m pretty sure he made Ronde a race to focus on this year.Who says Pogacar has been in top form?
Masnada can follow
And he easily won the biggest stage race of this year, the Tour of Oman!No doubt about this…
Masnada showed at last year‘s Lombardia that he‘s QS‘s new #1 rider for the hilly one-day-races![]()
And poor Ruiz Ibon, getting caught with just 300m to go to the lineWould have been his first pro win.

I'm not sure, but <¡Increíble actuación del farmacéutico!> is not the slogan that the team or the rider really need or want, one hopes. Is he pharmaceutical as a university student or does the team calls all his riders that because they are sponsored by a pharmaceutical company?
And he easily won the biggest stage race of this year, the Tour of Oman!
Except for, well, he didn'tAnd he easily won the biggest stage race of this year, the Tour of Oman!
