I still don't know why I love this climb and stage , I normally watch it when I ride on the trainer at home. Just s straight mtf with tempo and zero out of seat attacks. Just makes it feel a whole lot more brutal

My favourite Basso moment:

I remember watching him and Sastre storm up the mountains in 2004, Sastre shredding the field, Basso the only one able to hold Lance's wheel, cap backward, all style and flair, and thinking "Is this the year Armstrong finally gets beaten?"

And then Alpe d'Huez happened
