After Taaramae said he climbed at 480 watts for 12 minutes this is another great news for Astana's A team. Those brave Astana riders in the Giro were just an appetizer for what to expect in Le Tour.
what the ****? when?

Few days ago in facebook when giving a usual update how training camp etc went well, he also said he broke the record on some climb they time there in last day and casually mentions it being 480W and a 12 minute climb.
That's a lot of power. He should give the Madone a go.

Good to see that Nibali's lieutenant, who looks like a likeable lad, is doing so well. Perhaps the underdog, least of the Big4, goes on to surprise everyone.

I'm sure Taaramae will be one of the big surprise of this Tour de France, not at the same level of Landa at the Giro but he will finally confirm all the promises he showed in 2010-2011.

When on a good day he can compete with the best and he has a recovery needed to be really good at the end of a GT but hasn't showed enough consistency over three weeks thus far. Anyhow, unless something happens to Nibali he is strictly on domestique duty, maybe has a chance to go for a stage win.

I don't say he will win but he could finish high at GC even if he has to work for Nibali.

Final Tour team?

Nibali
Fuglsang
Scarponi
Taaramäe
Westra
Grivko
Gruzdev
Boom
Vanotti
Kangert will be racing

I'm not so sure about that. All those guysexcept Gruzdev are 100% going to be there.

Gruzdev is 100% sure to be there, unless he gets a injury
Then where is the man who has helped Nibali to both the Giro and the Tour going to fit in? Kangert looked extremely strong at the Giro, perhaps the best we've ever seen him. Astana should use him, but there is very little room for him.

He's a blowhard.

He's mediocre, boring and bad tactically.

There's nothing to like about him. At all.

Unless you are a nationalistic Dane.
We all have different perceptions. In your case, I guess the bias you obviously have against him (and other previous Saxo riders) is generated from when he left Riis and co. for Leopard Trek. What you're saying about him in interviews is far from true. The way I see it, Jakob always has time for a comment (no matter how tired of the stupid TV2 reporters he may be). He could finish inside the top 5 in the Giro or Vuelta and yet he's accepted the role as a domestique for the last 2 years. If he wants to find another team, that is totally understandable. Afterall, he could not have known in 2012/13 that Aru (and now Landa) would jump out of a box and beat him in the Astana hierarchy.

Lol

I could care less. I disliked Fuglsang in his Saxo days as well, just like the same was the case with others (Canc and the Schlecks). I also disliked Basso back in his CSC days (while I was cheering for Ulle and Chicken), whereas I've always liked Sastre, be that while at CSC or Cervelo.

It says more about you than me that you think I have a bias against riders leaving Riis and that is the reason why I don't like Fuglsang.

Kangert will definitely ride the Tour.

No. Astana had two teams decided before the season began, one for Giro and one for LeTour. The Giro team prepared to be in top form for May, one of the reasons they were so strong. None of those guys will be in France.

It's been in the talks since Giro that Kangert actually might do both. I don't think it's a lock, but he's on the shortlist for sure. He'll join up the crew in the Italian training camp after Dauphine and I guess they'll see who makes it and who gets cut.

It's now gone off that and we are talking about the Astana team, or just generally about Fugslang. Maybe the thread should be renamed to just 'Jakob Fugslang', because we all know that he isn't good enough to win a GT, maybe top-5 if a bad field but he couldn't win one.

To repeat you own argument, it says more about you than me that you think one needs to be a nationalistic dane to like Fuglsang.

What does this fool have to post to get a permanent ban?

I asked precisely the same when I reported his post. It''s gotten even more flagrant a few thousand posts now. I wonder what is it that gives him a free pass.

Probably the only poster I have reported and will keep doing so.

I report you because literally 90% of your posts are agressive tosh, insults, machismo, or the belittling of others, just like you did a page back. If people want to discuss something they feel is relevant, it's not your right to come in all haughty and mighty telling them how useless it is, with one of your typical sexist and off topic remarks no less. So yes, I will keep reporting you until you stop or are stopped.

Only I got sniped on my first infraction, clarified it with the mods, and learned my lesson. If there was one. This guy is on what, his 20th ban?
