Hopefully he’ll have another shot at another stage win so that he’ll at least one photo showing him crossing the finish line this Vuelta!
Sarcasm?Stage hunting was a smart decision, since he could save energy for days like today. If he ends up crashing out, he'll still have earned a lot from the race.
No, not at all. I actually like the guy.Sarcasm?
Probably better for him to successfully chase stages and show he can climb at that level before going for GC. Kind of like Roglic at his first TDFNo, not at all. I actually like the guy.
I don't think going for GC would have been a good idea, although with what he produced today, perhaps a good GC placing would have been possible as well, though I'm not too sure about his consistency over three weeks.
He's had a lot of bad luck in his career, so my point was only that if that trend should unfortunately continue later in the race, he now at least has one great result, which he would not necessarily have been able to achieve, if he had chased the GC from the start of the race.
Looking at his Strava file it should be more in the 6.3-6.4 W/kg range. Still, monster ride by him and very impressive. Is he really 69 kg? Some monster watts if that's the case.
No wonder he was holding the gap most of that climb wow
Naichaca, the watts dude, doesn't believe his Strava weight is accurate, hence the difference.Looking at his Strava file it should be more in the 6.3-6.4 W/kg range. Still, monster ride by him and very impressive.

Yeah, but probably still closer to 69 than to 60kg, meaning that mine estimation is probably closer to the truth.Naichaca, the watts dude, doesn't believe his Strava weight is accurate, hence the difference.
I doubt Alpecin has a GC team that can support him, so he would need to go solo more or less. Like Pogacar in the Tour the first time.GC contender, definitely.
His climbing should take him far regardless of the team's strength.I doubt Alpecin has a GC team that can support him, so he would need to go solo more or less. Like Pogacar in the Tour the first time.
Problem is like in TTTs where Alpecin already lost more than a minute. His climbing should take him far regardless of the team's strength.
If he shrunk by 10 cm's, developed a squeaky voice and gave death stares to the media........maybeJay Vine is the new Cadel Evans thread?
