There is the cheap stuff, you pick up in the locker room. Makes you look like a goon.

Then there is the designer stuff.

Real winners go designer.

Dave.
I dunno if she does or if she doesn't, but I do question how someone receiving the minimal $ that Cdn track & field competitors get is able to afford the 'designer' line of PEDs. Had she won something big or even come close, I could see her having the sponsorship $. Zelinka hasn't.

Other thing, I've seen a few women with shoulders like that (none with abs like that apart from Angie Pye) who are definitely not on the sauce. The first photo of Zelinka looks far more pumped than the second, taken at the same time, so maybe images can be deceiving. Now, that ski woman on the other hand.....

If you look at this photo with her head cropped out, it looks like a man.

And if you photshopped a toilet in underneath her it would look like a man straining whilst having a crap

Good grief. Another "woman" with more testosterone than Andy Schleck.

That's no Jessica. That's a Jesse right there.
I guess if you spend all your time looking at stick thin cyclists you might think that's a normal look, but some athletes actually benefit from keeping a small amount of upper body muscle, and building it is quite easy, even for women.

It sure is easy, with the right "preparation".

Yeah, that's a "small amount of upper body muscle". LOL.

Stick thin cyclists???

Concerning the subject, I'm not so much worried about her abs, it's her shoulders that got me worried - she looks like a tennis player..

I meant road cyclists.

It is. Mainly she has low bodyfat. You people should try lifting some weights, then you might realise it is in fact possible to build muscle without using steroids.

I think you are right, there are people in the clinic who need to get out more.

Right you are.

Then again, I was trained by the National Team weightlifting coach and, in turn, used to teach football players how to lift.

So, maybe you need to get out more.

Just saying.

Dave.

That's actually a good example. She was on steroids, that's well documented. Still, she does not look as ripped as Jessica. And given the rigors of the training regime of a) swimming, and b) the GDR, there's little chance that she had a high body fat percentage.

Oh, and please don't hold the doping against the athletes of the GDR. The program they were on was state-organized child abuse.

Whoa~

She reminds me of what a buddy of mine who liked to lift used to say:

I'm not into track and field, but this post breaks her performance down into parts.

This means in fact Ennis out through Jenner reaching a staggering .83 meters per kg of body mass versus Jenner at .79 meters per kg of body mass.

But WHAT A SHOW!!!!! GOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLDDDDDDD!!!!!

Have you read more of the posts in zephyrglobal...? Much of it appears to be about global Jewish conspiracies, and is so racist I don't think I could quote it here!

What a bunch of hilarious BS.
BMI less than Cadel Evans, yeah she's a real she-hulk! Boo, disgusting steroid beast!

Yeah, nah, just because she can beat you in an arm wrestle doesn't mean she's on roids, cyclists are just weak.

Then you'll know what building muscle is easy, at least if you start out looking like Bradley Wiggins.

Like anything else, such as winning the Tour, building muscle is easy if you cheat.

Dave.

Imo goggalor is right about men (in their teens, and 20s anyway) being able to build muscle fairly easily with a reasonable weight lifting plan, but it doesn't happen that way for women. The picture in the OP is the kind of thing that keeps women from weightlifting because they don't want to look like that, and they wouldn't without "help".

[Disclaimer: all anecdotal]

[A break from the Sky washing machine, anyone? ;)]

So, I realise you have to do blood and urine tests during "glow time" to tell if someone is doping - and Galic Ho's brother is 1 cm taller than this woman and 8kg lighter (apparently) but any idea if this is what a 31 year old woman can expect to look like with dedicated training and a good diet?

August 2012 Olympic pent/dec/hept-athlete, Canadian, Jessica Zelinka, born 1981.

Dunno. Who are we comparing her to?

How about the female WBFF Bikini Champion. You won't find a woman this fit and ripped very often. She trains out of Dubai and I believe GB. Her husband is her trainer (I believe). I think what she does is achievable clean and it's kind of what I was hinting at in the body fat thread with fitness industry types or more accurately; the hardcore types. These people have big followings on Facebook. She trains like I described if not to a more exaggerated degree.

Personally I'd say she is clean. Can she run or do anything other than pose? Give me a break. I doubt it.

Which leaves us with those who darn well can run and do some serious stuff.

Or how about the podium in the womens 100m in London. Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Carmelita Jeter (uber and obvious doper...she ran 11.50 clean, roided up and dropped half a second in a year) and Veronica Campbell Brown.

Look up pictures of them. Do I need to say more? I will take a look and see the results of this young lady. Her times in her event relative to her peers say a lot. Take the Aussie womens 100m champ, Melissa Breen. Way slower than these doped up Jamaican and American ladies. Barely cracks 11.3 seconds once a year. Clean. Like they use to be. Still very fit as shown below. Heck, even too muscly for some people's liking, but she has to be to run an compete. She is why I hope athletics cleans up. People who bust their behinds off and yet are still half a second off the dopers PB's who win medals and make semis in Worlds and Olympics.

The test is in the times in competitive sports. It's quite possible to get ripped over time and have a very strong toned physique. The difference between doing it clean and doping is Jeter. Was crap one year, then got on a program, about the same time Kelly White came clean and confessed, and improved a great deal, evened out and then finally got the last few tenths with fine tuning. She changed her physique in a year.

Before anyone says darker skinned people are naturally faster than others I will politely say that is statistical nonsense. Jamaica has a population of 3 million people. Yeah, I am sure they're winning the genetic lottery these past 20 or so years since Ben Johnson because of a genetic evolutionary lottery. Before drugs, white men and women placed next to darker skinned folk in Olympics and worlds for over 60 years. I think in explosive sports, darker skinned people, particularly Jamaicans, respond to dope better. Get them all clean and we'll see lighter skinned people not beating the worlds best, but coming second to them. Just a personal opinion. The longer distances the same goes. I don't think Kenyans and Ethiopians won the genetic lottery in long distance running either.

BTW dude, my youngest brother also had chronic fatigue for a number of years and spends a ton of time playing WOW. Basically no exercise and his abs aren't that defined but his body fat is about the same, maybe a bit higher. He's what I was talking about regarding Wiggins vs Schleck in build. He's the best natural runner, both distance and sprinting I know and have ever met. Also has great reflexes and hand eye coordination. Good at every sport he's played. If he bulked up and doped he'd be scary. In year 7 he was running a 15 in the beep test and stopped because he was bored. I only did 14 in year 9. Everyone else in his grade couldn't crack double digits. He's a natural at ball and racquet sports as well as endurance events. I don't think I need to explain what position he played in football do I?
