I agree some people know im not that surprised, its not like we havent seen this before this year. That's impressive, maybe the most he's ever been
Almeida has learned from Rogla 😁His determination is commendable.
But I don't think he'll win. Today was te best stage for Almeida, a tough climb.
Almeida's problem is his terrible positioning and other aspects of the race, like the descents. He didn't have those problems today.
The day Vingegaard won, he lost mainly because of that. And because the climb is less tough and he lacks explosiveness.
If he couldn't dropped Vingegaard today, it's harder for him to do so in the other stages. Unless Vingegaard collapses because of the Tour.
Ironically, Almeida benefited from the Tour crash. He has fresher legs for the Vuelta.

Tomorrow Ayuso and Soler or Vine on the breakGreat win Almeida!!!! If he rides well tomorrow and Vingegaard loses time the TT is wide open. Hopefully the whole team starts working for him and stops with the breakaways. UAE should set a hard pace tomorrow with everyone to blow the race up and due to Vingegaard lacking the legs these past two years on attrition rides.
As long as Almeida is part of itTomorrow Ayuso and Soler or Vine on the break![]()
Will Almeida follow Ayuso's footsteps and leave the team to be a leader at the Tour? No chance for that in UAE.
Matxin says no more guys in breaks
it took them until now to commit fully to Joao
