Come on man, after Kristoff lambast, you don't expect congratulations for Degenkolb,do you? :p I don't see him doing nothing different from other riders, every time the winner gets the attention.

Nothing particularly suspicious about Degenkolb beyond his results, so it all comes down to how well you think a clean rider could do nowadays. Which means the debate can't really be about Degenkolb himself.

Agreed. Extremely windy and a large, large group until the final few kilometers. Won from a group of 7 I think? He's certainly getting better results this year in big races, but no one looked overly strong today.

Ze German now has two monument wins in a single season.

Discuss.
wait til kittel or kittell comes back and is on a tear thru july

looking forward to see Kittell v Kristoff v Cav v Greipel face off. Will be p'raps the highest calibre of field sprinters I have seen line up in July.

Question is, what if Degenkolb and Kittell and Skil then separate so Degenkolb can compete in the field sprints in July. Boonen managed to do it for about 4 years, when he was contending for Roubaix and Flanders.

But with that post, one has to ask ; Who was the last rider to win both San Remo and Roubaix in the same season ?

Yep, you are correct.

Degenkolb became only the third rider to win Milano-Sanremo and Paris-Roubaix in the same season; the last man was Sean Kelly, in 1986.

Who was the other ?

He was born in Eastern Germany. Every athlete from Eastern German has been made in a lab. Like Jan Ullrich. So, Degengölb is a doper. Case closed. Next.
