Jonas Vingegaard: Godzilla, the King of Monsters

You know what? I'm still not writing Vingo off. In the mutants battle expect the unexpected, that's been the case many times. Sure, Teddy gained an important advantage today but let's wait and see if Visma-LAB has another miracle in store!
Vingegaard deals in minutes, if he goes extraterrestrial next week the TT could be a victory lap. I don’t think it’ll happen for the record, but with the freaky stuff we’ve seen I no longer dan be surprised by anything.

You have to have so so much confidence to pull this today. I can't help but ask myself where this confidence could come from given the stage before you lose 40sec to your rival.
He smashed Pantanis record, so the confidence was well placed. Astonishing performance given his injuries and interrupted preparation. His problem is that he’s up against an extra terrestrial alien.

I thought Vingegaard would crush Pogacar eventually, but not so much anymore. Vingegaard tasting his own 'medicine' from last year with extra-extra terrestrial performances from Pogacar
Think about the fact about Vingegaard´s crash and how he did a micracle recovery and now think about that he would have beaten Armstrong... depiste that injury recovery so short before the tour..
Now think about Pog also taking 5 minuttes on Armstrong.

Something is not rotten in Denmark, something is rotten in Cycling and I fear there always will be.. but why not atleast have more contenders, atleast that would make most people forget all the silly and obvious stuff going on..

I hope he and Pogacar can be caught sooner than later. This is a joke

They are clearly only the tip of the iceberg, though. Someone will be best under the new conditions. I don't blame them more than the other dopers who clearly exist. It seems this is a general issue far transcending Visma and UAE.
As to being caught: If that happens I'd like it to happen in a way that all comes out and not again that some riders are sniped away, while the rest just continues as if nothing happened.

Reactions: gunara and noob
I was always doubting he would be able to win the Tour this year, even before the injury. Afterwards I also doubted he would even make the Tour team, as I thought, or at least hoped, there was some kind of upper limit to what Visma could achieve (they haven't made WVA a monument winning machine nor a GT leader (yet), for instance). So I am surprised that he's been able to reach this level now, which seems it would have been more than enough to secure victory a year ago.

After winning all three GTs last year, it was always gonna be hard for the team to improve/maintain their position, and they haven't exactly had luck on their side either this season. Whether they will be able to return to the throne in 2025, or they will start to lose more ground like we've seen with INEOS previously, we'll have to wait and see about.
