So we now know we won't be seeing Vollering in Burgos, but I dont' really mind that. I think the time trial would have had to be longer for there to be some suspense, but Demi could of course still win that as well on a good day.

With Wiebes riding, we also know that it will be harder for Kopecky to get an advantage before Picón Blanco. We haven't seen her in the mountains yet this season, so I don't know what to expect from her. It is, on paper at least, a much more open race than what we've seen in the past few weeks.
 
I nearly thought Wiebes would get boxed in or that Kopecky's lead out was too hard for her to follow, but everything was alright in the end. Balsamo was in the perfect position, but she couldn't quite finish it off.

I will never understand SD Worx tactics. heverlin should never have worked with jery when you have Wiebes in the peleton. The reason they were brough back is because a chasing group latched onto the wiebes group with 7.2km to go and Lidl trek went straight to the front.

It's not like SDW don't win all the time, so I see no issue in them actually giving some of their other riders a chance.
