So we now know we won't be seeing Vollering in Burgos, but I dont' really mind that. I think the time trial would have had to be longer for there to be some suspense, but Demi could of course still win that as well on a good day.

With Wiebes riding, we also know that it will be harder for Kopecky to get an advantage before Picón Blanco. We haven't seen her in the mountains yet this season, so I don't know what to expect from her. It is, on paper at least, a much more open race than what we've seen in the past few weeks.

There is a chance that this last minute break in Burgos will not come back to the peleton.

The splits on the descent to Quintana de Valdivielso made the stage more exciting. SDW don't have to chase now, but I think Häberlin and Gery will be brought back anyway.

I nearly thought Wiebes would get boxed in or that Kopecky's lead out was too hard for her to follow, but everything was alright in the end. Balsamo was in the perfect position, but she couldn't quite finish it off.

I will never understand SD Worx tactics. heverlin should never have worked with jery when you have Wiebes in the peleton. The reason they were brough back is because a chasing group latched onto the wiebes group with 7.2km to go and Lidl trek went straight to the front.

It's not like SDW don't win all the time, so I see no issue in them actually giving some of their other riders a chance.

They're approaching the climb.
Well... they've been approaching the climb all day, but... you know what I mean.

It's a shame that Niedermaier is now also out of the race. I was looking forward to seeing her in this race and tomorrow especially.

Bjørgen just starting to rock and roll a little, but I'm sure she'll find a second wind.

Remind me - again - who that's supposed to be.
Sorry if I can't remember which random skiers you're comparing world famous cyclists too, because that would require actually knowing a damn about said random skiers, and why would I have any such knowledge?

Marit Bjørgen is probably more famous worldwide than Lotte Kopecky, sorry hon. Olympic medals go a long way.

It's kinda like calling Marianne Vos a "random cyclist".

And you're expecting people in a cycling forum to give a damn about skiing?
Why don't you head over to the Skiing News Forum to discuss that boring-ass sport? Then we can discuss cycling here.

Now... Shooo!
