Problem is that by your constant referrences to Bjørgen, you're expecting everyone to know who the *** you're even talking about.
And, as Samu alluded to, that would require keeping track of your weird antipathies outside of cycling. It's hard enough to keep track of your weird antipathies within cycling.

Look, I'll watch the occasional atheletics (though mostly during Olympics, when the boredom over lack of cycling is driving me nuts), but I don't go around comparing riders to Duplantis.
Why? Because I'm aware most people here won't care.
As Samu also alluded to, I don't expect everybody to know who I'm talking about, but I know enough of the forum does for the comparison to hold enough weight to make it.

I'm sorry that being reminded of the existence of other sports, or the existence of in-jokes that you feel excluded from, upsets you so.

Five people is enough? Didn't know that...
How many is enough for you? I didn't see a forum rule about the minimum number of people that were required to understand a joke.

If you're so keen on setting the parameters of what people are or aren't allowed to post, you could try being a moderator, or at least report my posts comparing Kopecky to Bjørgen for being off-topic or whatever other forum rule you think I've broken. I've not been alerted by the mods regarding this particular style of content that I post, so I was under the illusion I wasn't breaking any rules and you were just malding.

Reusser wins everything.

Well, she wins the stage, the GC, and - I think - also the points jersey. She obviously doesn't win the BYR jersey.

Reusser wins again, but the gaps were not huge over this distance. I was hoping that Koerner could stay in the top 10, but she lands just outside. Still her best performance yet in a race outside of Denmark.

When a rider wins 3 jerseys, you know the stage design is terrible.

I don't think there was much wrong with the design, or rather we couldn't really expect it to be any better. Due to the time trial, it's the best they've had so far for this race, but when the best time trialist is also the strongest climber then it ends like this.

Also if it hadn't been for the crash on stage 2, Wiebes would probably have won the points jersey, but that wouldn't have changed the quality of the route.

Press releases like this bug me more than they should. The BBC iplayer isn't a mass broadcast channel, it just allows the BBC to tick a box to say they covered it, meanwhile during Wimbledon theyll show continous live coverage 3 channels 2 radio stations and multiple news channels.

And does anyone seriously think TikTok videos are the way to attract people to the sport ? 🙄

So the women's version of the Tour of Estonia, which is only a one-day race, was raced today, but PCS, First Cycling and CQ Ranking each show their own different top 10. According to the race's Instagram account, it was Karoline Kumiega who won while almost holding hands with Malwina Mul, so the CQ results definitely need to be updated.

The inaugural edition of the the women's Tour of Norway has started today, too, with Justine Ghekiere winning the first of two stages. I've sadly not been able to watch it because TV2 Norway hasn't put it on the main channel, unlike the men's race.

That was a good ride by Gigante in her first day of the year. I hope she has improved her descending.
