8 out of 10 on the Riis scale. Only beat Piepoli (confessed the use of CERA a few days later) and Cobo time... Still room to improve.

This is a tragedy
A Danish man crushing the field on Hautacam, clinching the overall title. Where have I seen this before? At least he’s not bald or balding, I don’t think.
doping IS the mix...so I fully agree with mr trickyOn Lance Armstrong's podcast they noted Riis flew up Hautacam in 1996 over two minutes quicker than Jonas V did today.
Lance also could not resist quoting his own doped climbing time and boasting words to the effect of: "If I was there today, I'd be in the mix." (without mentioning the doping, obviously).
Watched that stage the other night, they really were flying and still Riis would have put time into Leblanc and IndurainIf Luc Leblanc was there today, he'd be in the mix too.
"fresh legs.... :')
Can we confirm that this is indeed what he said? because that is just rather over the top... Would be good to have some W/kg numbers on the climbs.
Starting to believe whatever froome was using is childs play today. skinnier people with better endurance and explosiveness.

We're back in 90's, fastest Hautacam since 2000 Armstrong. Nibali in 2014 would be very close (20 sec. faster) to Pogi.
I honestly understand why Pogi lost. He wasn't prepared for matching climbing records from 90s but I hope he'll be ready next year.
they produced a "masterpiece" (like their TdF jersey which looks like a burnt waffle) in the form of a former fish factory worker 'enhanced' to a degree he was better than Pogacar. That's extraordinary.
Something is fishy, isn't it?
I definitely think the Fisherman will be a GT specialist focused mainly on the Tour (and maybe on another GT at some point) - i.e. since last years TdF his form wasn't even close to that until the Dauphine (OTOH Pog had TdF form even in March and early April).
LOL at another nuclear day. The top 3 in GC all make me laugh, but especially vingo and pogo. Without vingo, pogo would be destroying everyone just like last year. And G is so believable
Must be a lot of new fans to the sport here? But I do notice a few old timers in the comments they should know better. Yes the WvA Green jersey effort going on the attack from the gun then having enough power to drop Pog on Hautacam was possibly the most absurd thing I've seen since Floyd. Wiki puts him at 78Kg. What the? There's very little talk about doping in general, which is absurd considering the 'spectacle' on display.
Pogacar, Roglic, Bernal, Froome etc. all had/have to answer questions about doping when they were leading or winning the TdF. But WvA, Jumbo & Vingegaard just redefined the rules of cycling where fatigue & accumulated efforts have zero repercussions... yet what do we hear? So far just crickets. It's the craziest stuff I've seen but most people this morning seem to be 'buzzing' about the "best TdF in decades".
I mean take the Granon stage for example: Pogacar cracked & everyone says "it's because he responded to all the Jumbo attacks when he shouldn't have". Yet Vingegaard responded to all of Pogacar's attacks over two days in the Pyrenees & still just climbed without breathing. And on the same topic I can't even be bothered to dissect the absurdity & farcical aspect of Wout van Aert dropping Pogacar on Hautacam after being on the attack all day.
I mean. When the Jumbo DS give out the Ketones and other stuff to the riders he says to Wout: "Not you Wout, you fell in the cauldron of special sauce as a child."There's very little talk about doping in general, which is absurd considering the 'spectacle' on display.
