Jonas Vingegaard: Something is Rotten

Other teams need to go full complaint mode at the UCI/WADA/whatever organisation even if it'll be viewed hypocritical.
I'm in the minority on this subforum but I actually believe the field is way cleaner now than it used to be, I think the cynical "They're all on it, omerta still exist" view is quite flawed and I think there are quite a few panyagua riders. There'll be fewer on the top end but still some semi-competitive (I believe in Pinot for example). And while there will be plenty that are pushing grey areas (TUE here, tramadol there etc., not to mention all the dodgy staff and doctors that still have links to the 90s/00s), it still is within bounderies. What the Skeletor and Pogi are doing just crashes all bounderies.

If you discount Hindley (crashed 3 days ago) and Martin (only top 10 because of breakaway), place 3-11 of GC finished within 45s to each other today. That's a margin I see as reasonable in a top end endurance sport.
And then you have Vingegaard who was basically 10% better than all of them and still 5% better than Pog.

Like there is no other endurance sport that comes even close in terms of differences right now. Kipchoge is probably the greatest marathon runner of all time but imagine him beating 3rd place at the Olympics by 12 minutes. Unthinkable.
If those teams have it serious with the sport. They should just quite the tour tomorrow and DNS with as reason we don't want to participate anymore in this circus, there is no point to it. That is the only way to put a stop/or control this.
But it needs to come from the riders/teams themselves.

When was it clear and what was it that ‘cleared’ it?

Rasmus Damsgaard - formerly hired by Riis to control his team's doping use - organized the test programme concerning Russian skiers. He never found anything suspicious, which might have something to do with the fact that he was cooperating closely with the Russians. He also had a very tolerant (or formalistic) view on the use of drugs in sports.

This article is just one of the articles that focuses on Damsgaard's suspicious role in all that:

Created an account for this after years of lurking. This is the most hilarious thing I've seen in years of absolutely hilarious things.

I don't mind doping. I think it can sometimes make for better races and nobody wants to watch a tour where athletes simply cannot recover at all making them unable to do insane attacks 3 weeks in. But my issue that's been eating at me for years and greatly ruined my enjoyment of the sport itself is watching the "meta" of cycling completely disintegrate.

We used to have time trial specialists, punchers, climbers, stage race specialists (climbers who can time trial well compared to their peers but could NEVER beat time trial specialists like tony martin, cancellara, etc on the flat), and cobblestone specialists. The only group that is currently recognizable and retains their unique style is the sprinters.

Now you have Pogacar a 60kg rider winner Ronde van Vlaanderen against all the cobble specialists!? You have skeletal mutants like Froome, Pogacar, Vingegaard, etc destroying time trial specialists on the flat!? You have 70+kg classic specialists like Geraint Thomas randomly dropping riders like Nairo, Aru, Bardet, Pinot, etc in the high mountains and winning the whole tour. You have 70kg Bradley Wiggins a TT specialist track cyclist randomly winning the whole tour. You have Wout van aert winning high mountain stages and sprint stages in the same race.

It's all so tiresome.
This is Lance Armstrong, isn't it?

He is saying it, without saying it.

He could easily just say "Oh, Im just in awe" or he is saying what everybody else is thinking but probably wont admit publicly. He is being paid to follow/comment on it. It would be weird if he didnt say anything. This is just tethering the line, without taking a clear stance.

Ill quote a post i made a few year ago. this now applies all over the board.

Of course motor doping is in use, it was even in use back in 2010 with cancellara and breschel, breschel who was fuming after flanders since he got the wrong spare bike, the same race where cancellara litteraly motored away from boonen (go figure). Also Sky was notorius for motor usage, just watch Poels here motoring away up the Angliru lol.

Also 2013, especially with Froome up ventoux with the leaked watt files, its clear as day he is using a motor, you can also see it from the spectators view its so stupid.

Foliforovs famous tt in the giro, also ebike.

Roglic had motor in the bike at Strade Bianche a few years back as the infrared spectator cam found out.

Now many top teams have it, you have to adapt or die out, as such sky/ineos dominance is more or less over as other teams have leveled the playing field.

Lets face it UCI has no interest in catching any of these guys, as with the useless ipad scam app. Spectators should set up ir cams during mountain stages on the roadside, i would guarante the bikes would glow. You would have to be emotionaly invested to belive otherwise.

and here is one i made last year.

Motor Usage was a huge factor for Froome, his breakout Vuelta was without one, his climbing style changes dramatically from his breakout vuelta to his Tour exploits, also just watch spectator cams how he just motors away like a scooter. same with Poels and Froome distancing Zakarin at the Angliru. Also Ventoux 2013 is the most ridiculous motor doping. Now the playing field is leveled in terms of motor usage, but SKY where really one of the first to use motors for gc riders, csc with breschel and cance did it in 2010. Rasmussen has said for a fact that he knows some top riders are using motors 3-4 years ago in an interview, Hamilton also shares this opinion. But it will never come out due to the fact it would destroy cycling forever.

Here is a clip from Froome Ventoux 2013 and no its not edited. (Click the Froome Ventoux link under here)
Froome Ventoux

Here is Poels literally motoring away at the Vuelta. (Watch from 5 seconds in to see Poels wrooom away on his little scooter.)

If it was that prevalent back then its way more now. Good old doping i dont mind at all, but motor doping is to much for me, as you cannot know what climbing exploits are feats of human strength anymore. One of the reasons i never liked froome

Maybe now you people will finaly belive me, its so blatant that motordoping coupled with a top tier program is whats going on. And it will NEVER be revealed as its to late now, you cannot do this without killing the entirity of the sport

Foliforov gif as its not working in the quoted message
