Jonas Vingegaard: Something is Rotten

Rasmussen has shared his blood values before, and he linked to them again after this TT.

You definitely do not need to be over 50% for HCT.
Thanks for the share. Yea those numbers are actually a lot lower than I would have expected. Although, real hematocrit is probably closer to 50. The tried and trued method is to slam an IV bag or 2 before the test in order to dilute the blood and make it seem lower than it is.

Jonas says that he doesn't take anything he wouldn't give to his 2 yo daughter

Is it bad the implication I took from this is that he is also doping his daughter and grooming her to be a mutant cyclist already?
Given that his father came out with some story that Jonas had a vo2 of 97 at the age of 17, I would like to know the secret ingredient in the family's cookie recipe.

" "Tadej attacked me for 15 days," Vingegaard explained, "and from his aggressiveness I understood that at some point he would collapse. Those who shoot too much are insecure, spend a lot and pay in the end.""
So it's the same tactic as used before of Jumbo pushing Pogacar and blowing himself up by being too agressive. Which makes me wonder what condition Vingegaard must have to hang on for 15 days and then blow everyone away in the TT.

Edit add - I wonder too what would have happened if the TT was before the rest day and not after. The Giro I praised for doing that (stage 9) but the Tour seems to stick to post rest day for some reason.
Ha I’m not sure taunting Pogacar and UAE like that is such a good idea. If Lance hadn’t done this sort of thing he’d probably still have all his titles. Be more like Indurain - gracious in victory and keep to yourself!

Do you think Pogacar's TT 2nd place was due to his training interruption, or that Jumbo would not have sent Vingegaard to the Tour if he had broken his wrist?
Well if not for his training interruption there is little doubt in hindsight that Pogacar would have been closer. It now seems clear that Pog emptied himself in that TT, than paid for this on Loze. Without training interruption he is closer in the TT and recovers better so doesn't pay for that effort.

Not sure what Jumbo would have done if the situation was reversed. Someone should ask them. But Jumbo do seem to be masters of PR as well as Clinic techniques.

Must've imagined the part where he attacked like a madman two days in a row, in the second dragging Pogacar up an HC and Cat 1 col and got dropped.

Edit: And who could forget reacting by himself to random Adam Yates and Trentin(!?!) moves 140k out on medium mountain stages
That's all true. But without training interruption I am sure Pogacar would have better recovery to those moves as well as a slightly higher peak level.

He should have not said what's underlined. He's giving fuel to the flame that will burn him later.

Bjarne Riis is commenting the race for one of the Danish tabloids. He says of the time trial that "Jonas is from another planet - going beyond even Indurain in his level of dominance". Regarding the doping question he says that although he doesn't want to "go out waving a white flag that says that Jonas is clean clean clean and clean", one should take into account the level of perfectionism, sacrifice, and attention to detail from Vingegaard and JumboVisma: "You don't see Jonas doing backflips in the pool during the restday like Pogacar. Everything is carefully planned."

From another planet
No backflips in the pool
