MvdP has had a couple of those what you would call low hanging fruits this season and no one seems to mind that much. To the contrary, I’ve heard people proclaiming him top racer of his generation.

If Rogla wins, he will have beaten Pog, Remco and a bunch of other worthy opponents at the tender age of almost 35. He will have been the second oldest TdF winner ever and the oldest in the last 100 years. Low hanging fruit indeed 🤣
I was actually referring to johnnymax level of instigating, but cool to see this got to you.

Most definitely a worse prep than Pog in 2023 if he decides to race. Prolly not even comparable.

Looks grim I must admit, but bike riders are insane, so why rule anything out. Hope he makes it. Dont really care about the race in Spain, thats an afterthought atm

I also think that getting the Vuelta out of the way this year would be good. How about mega peak for WC, we haven't really seen what the confident "new Jonas" can do in one days races. Would be funny if he won it, not sure all the blowhard skeleton shouting type guys could handle him having that jersey.

Hes not strong enough for that. Its as likely he wins WC as its for Bernal to win Wc if were beeing honest.

He s at best good enough to even get on the team as a helper but im not really sure of that either.

Jorgenson. the big deal will be Jorgenson. wait and see
I'm a fan but it's not like he's not a known quantity. He's not going to surprise anyone now that Jonas is out of the Tour picture and 3 weeks of the TdF is a new level of competition for him. Getting close to the podium is a reasonable target unless there is more chaos and other team leaders are out of the mix all together.
He will be a good rider but it's reasonable to give him another year or two.

It's not too late. Froome won the 2011 Vuelta in 2019.
