Even if a team is down 3-0 they don’t start congratulating the other team. Even though it’s over, technically it’s not over till it’s over, so my wife would recieve priority.
In cycling guys congratulate each other at the end of stages. It's a normal thing. Except for a danish kid that needs a call/hug from his mother first.

Wasn't it Evenpoel who said something about balls earlier in the Tour ? Just saying:sweatsmile:

Im not gonne fault the guy he faught hard its just that Pogacar isnt injured and then its never been close so no surprise.

Still a amazing rider but I like Evenpoel character more myself. I'm not beta fan either though it looked weird but so close after the finish one cant fault him for that in my opinion guys is tired empty can do it later if he dont that's however super weird behavior.

As someone who has previously criticized JV for calling his wife while somewhat ignoring Pogacar after beating him, I have to say I disagree with a lot of these over-the-top criticisms of how he responded to losing to Pogacar. To me, the first is disrespectful; the latter is understandable. I don't like poor sportmanship in the sense of refusing to congratulate victors, but that is not JV, never has been. Give him a break!

His wife should give him a break.

Personally, in race situations where I have gone deep ... like really, really deep, as deep as I could physically go ... I find profound and surprising emotional experiences. There was one such race where at the finish merely thinking about my daughters (my family was not there) prompted overwhelming emotions and I started crying. I guess some folks here would tell me I should be embarrassed by that and I'm a girly-man or something, but I just found it to be an interesting part of being human.

Vingegaard wife came up to HIM and hugged him ..He didn't seek her out
And sure he cried but so did nearly every winner and some stage losers this Tour

If you are disgusted by a man showing emotion or seeking comfort from his wife then that says more about you and your views on masculinity and where you are at,,,maybe living in the mid half of the 20th century ?
No one knows what he went through in the last few months, only he felt it.

The few that criticize him as a "robot" and unemotional might try to actually appreciate how much passion it takes to achieve what Jonas has. When it may be gone it's gonna hurt. That said; absolutely no one on this forum have the credentials to critique his will and effort. Remco could not drop him.

Dont fool yourself Vingegaard never has been close to Pogacar thats just obvious for everyone just let it be. If your in doubt ask what jumbo says themself. He can beat him if he is not 100% thats kudos just chill.

I would be more worried about Evenpoel if I was Vingegaard. Vingegaard is far closer to Evenpoel than he is Pogacar just the reality off it..

dude its not hard this...Vingegaard is a great rider never said anything else hes a 2 time tdf winner ofc hes good!

Google it listen to what jumbo guys said themself why he won, they say cause pogacar beat himself duo to the team. He went crazy after Roglic which was their leader and burned way to many matches, vingegaard wasnt even their leader and Pog focus to begin with that beeing said Vingegaard deserves creds hes obviously beyond a doubt a GREAT RIDER never said anything else. Pog also rode like a JR and deserved to loose but it wasnt on pure strenght... ...you know this. If you dont like when i say it just listen to them say it jesus this isnt hard to figure out dude

On peak form they are not very close at all never has been but Vingegaard is per now the closest when Pogacar is not peak form he can win cause he is that great thats just the botton line facts wether or not you like it or not.
