There's a few comments and moments over the last ~12 months that suggest to me Vingegaard is either really naturally passive or doesn't beleive in himself as much as he should.
- Ventoux attack was really late on the climb. But it can be excused by Van Aert being up the road I guess
- Saying he had bad legs on Luz Ardiden when he got 2nd.
- His comments about his win on Col de Granon, about not being sure he should attack Pogacar and thinking about not doing it. I think it was super obvious Pogacar was suffering like a dog on Granon even before he got dropped.
- No moves on Alpe d'Huez yesterday. Very defensive strategy by Jumbo. This can be down to Jumo, but he did close Pogacar very easily, but he didn't even try to counter once.
