Vingo is riding to lose (or win). They care only for 1st. It’s why they chose not to shed time on roglic in multiple occasions today
That would have also put Vingo in a position to be worked over. Roglic didn't figure into their equation as much as #1: Survival without time loss or mishap....#2: See #1.
They all need to look at where Pogacar has overinvested in showy attacks and begins to be actually stessed, if and when that occurs. Pretty simple strategy.

Rogla would always be a plan B for Visma at this Tour edition. So thanks for keeping Rogla in the game and to Jonas for being a good teammate. Appreciate it. Just don't go crazy on some hills and we are good. Or just send Rogla ahead, to tire down Pogi. We'll see.

Roglic is definitely not Plan B for Visma in the Tour.
He is, however, Plan A for Bora.

(But deep down, you knew that. Right?)

He had some problems with his bike I think. He had plenty of time to recover but his cadence was very high in the sprint, it seems something was wrong with the bike.

Or he missed a gel like it's been claimed. Because of that, I think it's too early to claim Vingegaard's the number one favourite when he's also still behind in GC and 10 stages remain. Vingegaard might suffer more from these efforts after his (assumed) less than optimal prep.

It has a supermerit to be one month at the hospital at Vitoria and now to beat Pogacar in a Pogacar stage profile. He is the best rider for Grand Tour of this era. Not sure he can win this Tour, becouse most of the mountain stages are short, but he is not less favourite than Pogacar. Best rider of the world is Pogacar, becouse he is fighteen with Van der Poel for Flandes and with Vongegaard le Tour, but he is not the best for le Tour.

I didnt think Vingegaard could follow a Pogacar attack the first day on Italy....Once that happened, the race was 50-50 for me.

With a normal prepadation for Vingegaard, he would be one minute ahead of Pogacar now if Pogacar attack as he did today.

It's worrying how much time he loses downhill, but there are mostly MT finishes
