About the altitude training camps....he only did 2 altitude training camps this year, exactly the same altitude training camps the rivals did. It's not that much time out of home.

That's not true. He had at least 3 (more his team training camp in December). Sierra Nevada in January and May, Tignes in June.

Apparently Mrs. Vingegaard Hansen wanted Jonas to do carpentry work in the kitchen and do (in her words) some of the "hard and tedious" things - which the team wasn't happy about because they reckoned he was doing too much at home.

Another change this year is his altitude camp. “We’ve done things a little differently. I haven’t been on an altitude camp yet—that will come in May,” he said. “It has nothing to do with the birth of our second child. That does have an impact on you, but I simply wanted to change things up for the first half of the season.”

Weird when he says something else. Maybe he didn't regard January in Sierra Nevada as a proper altitude camp? How long was he there?

At 4 minutes in the video they pass the fdj women's team and you can see vollering still wearing SD worx kit because it's 2024. The December 2024 fdj women's team camp was in Costa del Sol, there is numerous evidences for this.

The riders who were at altitude in end of January/February from Visma this year were at Teide. Jorgensen, campanaerts, zingel, tulett, Yates, VALTER and some others. Visma didnt do any training camps at Sierra Nevada until May

I am not sure what the goal is of giving such an interview at the start of the Tour, which is Jonas’ most important goal of the season. Seems somehow narcissistic even (and I am quite aware that this is a very outside view that I have, without even having read the original interview. But the headlines and attention it gets is already not optimal).

It could be just another stereotypical Jerry Maguire "show me the money" sort of pressure applied to the team by insinuating her client isn't happy.

It's during the TdF when offers come rolling in from other teams as well, creating leverage for negotiations.
