My thoughts on him attending the WC kind of come back to the backlash he seemingly has had from the danish federation earlier this year.
I think Lund is a bit mad at him for not doing anything with the national team. Not sure what backlash you're talking about...

Now he rides Lombardia or finishes his season. Probably the first. I think he still has passion to race in 2024.He tends to become worse after TdF anyways, and with his difficult prep for this year‘s TdF, he even more has difficulties to maintain his shape, I‘d think.
A more cynical person than I might get the thought that DCU are more thinking about their sponsorships value if they can replace Asgren or Bjerg on the poster with Jonas. Or that their sponsors are constantly asking "why no Jonas?"Not like Denmark is short on riders who have been much better fits for the World/European Championships in recent years.
When Vingegaard expressed his interest in riding the Olympics, Lund - or maybe it was Bennekou - truthfully pointed out that the route doesn't really fit him that well, and there were only four spots available.
yeah This year is decent enough for him, depending on the childbirth timing. He isn't missing out on the biggest results of his career. He throws a bone to the national team, media and fans.My thoughts on him attending the WC kind of come back to the backlash he seemingly has had from the danish federation earlier this year. He claims he wants to be more involved and this would be an ok year for him to have a go. Next year would be better but doubt he is willing to travel for the WC.
yeah. probably a good call all things considered. His season is over. A shame but I can't blame him after his horrific crash
I had to mute the coverage of the Vuelta - putting sound on one of the other races - when they started boiling soup and that case again during the stage coverage.
After they'd already discussed it during the pre-stage studio.
It's not like today's stage give them a lot of other topics to discuss.

true, even in his best years he would need to be highly motivated and really build a significant part of his season around that peak to have a decent shot at it.Vingegaard would stand no chance on this route anyways. No problem at all
His fellow countrymen might, and he could play a role for themVingegaard would stand no chance on this route anyways. No problem at all
‘Jonas Vingegaard wil in 2025 debuteren in de Giro d’Italia’
Zien we Jonas Vingegaard volgend jaar in de Giro d’Italia? Het zou zomaar kunnen. Volgens de informatie van het Het Laatste Nieuws wil de Deen van Visma | Lease a Bike in 2025 zelf graag debuteren in de Ronde van Italië. Apparently, he has expressed a wish to do the Giro next year. No decision taken.
I knew it! I really have a strange feeling about Vingegaard doing Giro-Tour next year. After seeing Pogacar be so good in the Tour, I know Vingegaard can win the Giro with one leg and be ready to challenge Pogacar in the Tour.‘Jonas Vingegaard wil in 2025 debuteren in de Giro d’Italia’
