Oh heck. Was he a late entry? I hadn’t seen it discussed before. Makes the race a lottle more interesting
San Sebastián and Tour de Pologne were the races he would definitely ride, according to an interview he did after the last stage in Nice.
Agreed. I think the Tour came a little early for him. But he should be in great form for this and a big opportunity to win a big one day race. With all the big name absentees this is set up for Jonas to win his first big one day race. He should be heavy favourite.
I take it as a good sign for him not ending his season in Poland. My man is not looking good. Boy do I hope, he'll be better next year.
As in, he's building back up for Worlds and Lombardia, rather than extending Tour shape?I take it as a good sign for him not ending his season in Poland.
Yes.As in, he's building back up for Worlds and Lombardia, rather than extending Tour shape?
It's a one day race, far exceeding the 200 kilometer barrier. He just ain't build for that life.My man is not looking good. Boy do I hope, he'll be better next year.
He is building up to maybe manage to get a top 10. He is just not good enough for it.As in, he's building back up for Worlds and Lombardia, rather than extending Tour shape?
He is also, already building up for next year. He lost a lot of mass muscle. He had to go very deep in July ( very different from achieving top shape)to do a decent performance without fading, and now he is recovering and paying the price. As in, he's building back up for Worlds and Lombardia, rather than extending Tour shape?
Source? If he is going to the worlds its clearly as a dom which have been stated in the media by Skjelmose etc too.
Source?
Can you quote the part that states that Vingegaard will go as a dom as you claimed?"I hope that it will be me that we ride for (in Zurich ed.). I also hope that Jonas Vingegaard rides," 23-year-old Skjelmose says in conversation with Danish outlet Ekstra Bladet. "I think that it could make Denmark's medal chances much greater if we are both present''
"I just really want to ride in a team with Jonas Vingegaard" - Mattias Skjelmose hopes two-time Tour winner makes World Championships after Danish Olympic absence
On Saturday the 3rd of August, the men's road race acyclinguptodate.com
He also mention co-captain and says greater chances with both which I agree on.
But point is expecting Vingegaard to win or even podium is kinda just wishful thinking based on any career results his entire career that is all, hardly a surprise he isnt good enough at it when he never has been good enough at it before that is all and funny that someone is actually surprised.
You explicitly claimed that Vingegaard going as a dom "have been stated in the media by Skjelmose". That's a factual claim that you have not provided any source for. I'm looking for a statement of Skjelmose stating that to the media. Is it hard to figure out for you? sorry cant help you then.
You think he will beat skjelmose? I sure not. And it was said during a interview before the OL he hoped he would have him as a helper in Zurich. Vingegaard never ever been top 10 and clearly not good enough for challenging for a podium there, he is not good enough for that.Vingegaard isn't going to Zürich to be a dom for Skjelmose, thats nonsense, and thats not what was said either by Skjelmose either at all.
