Seems more like a lazy whiner case

British Cycling has today confirmed that Jonathan Tiernan-Locke has withdrawn from the Great Britain team selected for the men’s elite road race at the UCI Road World Championships.

I almost feel sorry for the dirty corporation wasting money on this guy. Training is to hard, he is not even bothering putting some effort to show he deserves to be here.

edit: On a 2nd thought i feel sorry for the 45 riders from Euskaltel and VAC-DCM without a contract, who will work hard for a contract, while this dude can't be arsed to do a race.

Yeah this has made me think all his problems could be self-inflicted. Maybe he hasn't recovered his fitness in time, and he was advised to step down though. Or the dirty corporation put pressure on him not to be selected.
