Poor JTL. On the news now for this dodgy blood result and before that poor performance. He can't be in a good place now.

You guys leave poor Brailsford alone. Each team manager has his own way of determining whether a potential hire is doping. Vaughters looks at blood profiles. Bruyneel looks them in the eye. Brailsford makes sure their passport is British.

Someone might want to check the naitonality of JTL's family milkman. I have a sneaking suspicion he may be Southern European.

He and Wiggins were last seen in a bar in Italy.

Yeah, about 2PM this afternoon, watching the rest of the suckers riding in the rain.......

At least Froome hung in for a bit, but the wet descents were not his cup of tea, so he joined them for a beer:rolleyes:

False alarm, folks. The Muppetarium over at Bike Radar has figured out what went wrong. All the intense training and hard work at Sky was too much for poor JTL, so it lowered his passport levels below his natural baseline.

That might even have a grain of truth in it. Ever heard of hemophagozytosis due to EBV ? And EBV can flare up under heavy training loads.

I thought I remembered Smith saying that too, but I remember last year when Smith called Contador a doper I brought that up and someone told me I had got mixed up and Smith was a lifelong staunch anti doper.

Ask yourself this: how many Scottish ex Motorola cyclists are there that commentate on Eurosport? That's how I remember hearing it.

i think sky should re-hire a certain blood specialist to look after these poor victims of rare blood disorders that are not rare at sky, must be something sky are doing wrong to have all these diseased riders

hire blood specialists before its too late!

I doubt on his salary whilst he was at Endura he would be able to afford blood doping. I also doubt he had access to the people who could facilitate that kind of thing.

It could be EPO but the same applies.

This is exactly what I was going to say, modern doping is very expensive.

Sorry but what on earth is this supposed to mean? Or is it just a tired rehash of imposing false bigotry on a large racial group?

Keep banging the same boring drum.

Is the pay so much better at Torku Şeker Spor than at Endura Racing?

It's a sort of speculate to accumulate sort of thing though isn't it? If you know a team like Sky (or any big team) is interested in signing you and all that brings then well...

Bit of a daft question but does the passport register Testosterone/HGH etc or is it just blood?

A 'steroid' passport has been planned by WADA for a while. I think its being implemented for 2014 in some sports.

That would not catch HGH changes though.

The test normally run for Testosterone is the ratio test. Typically a federation won't run the test for artificial Test. Just don't cross the threshold value.

This is a very nice summary. http://www.mmajunkie.com/news/2012/...ny-why-do-cutoff-limits-vary-for-testosterone Maybe some more technical participants can add some critique regarding the validity of the content. My limited knowledge and comparison to WADA documents reads okay to me. Happy to be corrected!

HGH testing requires a blood sample. Here's an elegant explanation why WADA's HGH test is for idiots to fail. http://www.sherdog.com/training/HGH-Testing-42387 Lots more work/money needed from the IOC if they actually want to control HGH doping. They don't though. This is EPO all over again. Different performance gains, but the actual dragging of feet to control use is no different.
