Scrap that. Laporte and Lampaert reluctant to cooperate. In the end beaten by Arnaud De Lie from the team LTD. De Lie sprinting with one leg. No pun intended. Literary sprinting with only one leg.
Well yeah, they’re not on the same team yet.

They're alienating fans with changes that are largely happening because of netflix zombies in order to keep their attention. Like sprint weekends, three US GPs two of which are boring street circuits, Miami was already a total cringefest but surely Vegas will top that. While the place of several historic tracks in F1 (like Spa) is uncertain
Yeah. They go where the money is; if the historic venues don't have it - Tough! We've seen France lose their GP for a number of years before returning to Paul Ricard, Germany lost their GP, and Spa seems to be on the verge of dropping out. In fact, it's not just F1; that is how most motorsport series operate.

If you applied that to the World Tour; then ONE promoter would organise the whole calendar - and decide which races are in; mainly by charging a hosting fee, and selling TV rights. I imagine a lot of historic races would struggle to get in.....

High school MTB has been very successful from what I've seen in the US.
HS MTB racing is growing in the US, but it is not translating to a future generation of racing cyclists. The numbers are showing that very few continue racing after graduating HS. Most of the kids never purchase a USAC license as adults. Hopefully they remain active cyclists even if racing isn't their choice.

Soudal-Quick Step could lay off its entire staff this Monday!

"This Sunday, near Marche-en-Famenne, where the Famenne Ardenne Classic was being contested, our colleagues from Le Soir collected the confidences of a member of the Soudal-Quick Step management: “We are talking about a letter which will be sent this Monday to all staff. A letter of dismissal.” "

It's strictly business eh.

Damn. Where's the 'merger' here? All I see is a demolition job where one team has taken a sponsor from another team & that team is getting dissolved.

If Evenepoel then jumps ship & signs for Ineos, then there really wasn't any 'merger' whatsoever. Not really. It means the only thing Jumbo would be taking is the sponsor.

Yes, and the riders/staff will have to find new teams.

Lefevre and them, who owns the WT-license, will then sell it to highest bidder.

I don’t have the context for European businesses, but in the U.S. things that get called “a merger” are still really an acquisition, as one company or owner will be the majority stockholder (even if just 51% to 49%) and will run the new company. They may choose to keep most of the other company’s structure and staffing in place, or they may not.

Apart from Remco and the U23 riders there really is only Merlier, Van Wilder, Vansevenant and Cattaneo who other teams should try to sign.

Wonder who will go for Alaphilippe: Lavenu, Berneaudau or Arkea.

Any team in need of points should be laying down some real coin for Merlier and sending him on the De Lie schedule, still the 2nd best sprinter in the world imo, just can't get over a motorway bridge to save his life.

Landa is a better signing than all of those mentioned apart from Remco.

If Ineos still has the money Evenepoel will join them. I don't see Evenepoel together with Vingegaard at the Tour.
