It's been confirmed he'll remain in the AG2R structure. Unlike his peers, however, he'll make the jump to the pro peloton immediately. Which I don't think he's ready for just yet, but he can always ride U23 races if need be.
Plenty of lower level French Cup races and early season events with only a handful of World Tour teams in that he can be eased into that would give him not much difference to being in an under 23 se

Probably the only time we'll see the rainbow for the coming 12 months. This was in Olgiate Molgora, and the tower in the background is of course on the mythical Madonna del Ghisallo. Finn won this race last year as well, but looking ahead I'd rather focus on the guy in 3rd: Roberto Capello. Recent winner of Léman. He is on the CPS program and will step up to Auto Eder next year. A familiar path, as Finn himself did the exact same this year. 2nd was Giacomo Rosato, another first year who has been lights out this season.
Roberto Capello sounds interesting. Do you have more information on him?

He's from Cossombrato, a town near Asti in Piedmont.
Will ride for Auto Eder next year. Good climber, not particularly explosive, he reminds me of Finn at same age. I'm not sure the ceiling is as high though, he looks a little more developed physically (Finn looked like a kid last year).
We can expect a major step up anyway considering the difference in resources between CPS and Auto Eder.

Hector Alvarez just got smacked by Henrique Ribeiro Bravo, a Brazilian I genuinely had never heard of. Puts more than a minute into everyone on Laguna Negra. We have finally found the heir to the throne belonging to Vinicius Rangel. Movistar, sign this guy asap.

Edit: I have heard of him, for Henrique Bravo currently sits 3rd in the world ranking in XCO, only 20 somewhat points behind one Albert Withen Philipsen.

Bravo was way way down during the Junior Wold championship. That win in Laguna Negra was a breakaway and the lead pack was then focused on the other Brazilian Lino Guilherme and Reef Roberts who were more prominent in the junior peloton. One-on-one Alvarez who is a year younger, looks more prolific than Bravo. Bravo should find his match against Pablo Torres who is on his age bracket.

Denmark not sending u23 and junior teams to next years worlds.
Mentioning cost of of preparation due to race altitude.
I'm surprised it took this long for the media to catch up on, as it's been known for a while that manier country is going to make big cuts in their selections. These world championships in Rwanda are going to be a colossal failure, as per usual when Lappartient wants something done.

My browser auto-translates so I've spent this entire time thinking his name was 'Henry Well Done' as his name appeared that way on the FirstCycling results page.

I ran into a similar issue regarding Chrono des Nations.
Though, in that case is was because I'd gone to the website of the organiserers, in order to see the riders for the U17 races as well, and selected English language.
I didn't expect it to translate the names!

Belgium now planning to reduce rider numbers in u23 and junior categories, citing extortionate hotel prices as the primary reason.
It's all very ironic as next year is the first time women will get their own seperate race.

Random suggestion!
Should it be possible for (2nd year) Juniors to guest-ride for the "corresponding" devo team, just like it's possible for devo team riders to guest-ride for the "corresponding" WorldTeam (or ProTeam)?

Maybe with a rule stating it's only allowed after they've turned 18.

I'll refrain from writing an epistle this year, but Benjamin Noval, Kristian Haugetun, Antoine Salamin, Ben Coates, Leon Atkins, Gabriel Genter, Karl Herzog, Georgs Tjumins, Enzo Hincapie, Brandon Fedrizzi, Michael Hettegger, Jinze Joris, Finn Bastiaanssen, Giel Lejeune, Cas Timmermans, Soren Bruyere Joumard and Josh Johnson get the Coffeeplanter first year junior seal of approval for the year 2025.

The Coffeplanter's Seal of Approval. It sounds very official. :D like some kind of quality or fair trade thing.
