Best Season of a Junior Team ever?!
They are so much better than any other team that assessing potential is a little tricky for me this year.

Herzog looks like a great talent but so did his brother as a junior and now he's struggling to adapt.

Agree. It's hard to know the level of the graduating generation, with the all-conquering Grenke team winning everything. Additionally, Møller, Schoonvelde and Mouris are January/February kids, so the superior team plus possible development advantage makes things murky. At least Herzog is still really, really young.

Could be that the 2007 generation isn't that much to write home about, at least not among the current elite juniors. We'll see in a few years I guess. Ashlin Barry has been a bit quiet on the road this year, but seems like he's been busy with a lot of track stuff.

Now 2008 on the other hand has some really promising guys, like Haugetun, Van Kerckhove, Herzog and the non-meme version of Benjamin Noval.

The rules about official U-23 devo teams have been a huge success, probably the best thing done under selfie. This may turn out well too.

By PCS, some of those clubs have way more than 15 riders listed, so I guess they won't become official devo junior teams.

I don't really follow junior racing, but is this mostly reacting to RedBull dominance?

Okay, I know this is not technically about Juniors, but we don't have a U17 thread...
Are Cimeo Rolland and Emile Vaugrenard related to Pierre and Benoit respectively?

And I just realised something cool about getting a (rare) change to watch a U17 race (well, technically 2 U17 races...) at this point in the season:
The kids who do well are probably the ones who are gonna step-up and be Juniors for next year. It's like a teaser for which riders to keep an eye on.

I think Emile Vaugrenard could be the brother of Jules, thus making him Benoit's nephew. My not so extensive research indicates that there isn't a connection between Ciméo Rolland and Pierre. He has apparently been training with Brieuc/met him during training at least once, but my best guess is that they aren't related either.
