So why did JV not hire JJ post suspension back when Doug Ellis wanted to.

Doubtful now because JJ was a "gossip", more like JJ was anti hipocracy and an Omerta exploder

Now we see JV only wanted either someone out like Millar, a self serving clown/salesman or others he could trust to keep the secrets.

Funny the change of tune some years later. Whatever needs to be said to save himself. In 2012 whistlerblowers needed support.

“We tried to create an environment. We have got to fix this problem so let's just be honest about it and not shoot the messenger. If that truth is a bit distasteful, we will still support the athletes, they will still have a home.”

why does JV dislike Jaksche

“I was part of this USADA report because I wanted to be transparent and help change cycling, but I have to say in retrospect, it was a mistake to have testified. The USADA report wasn’t about truth and honesty and change, it was only about going after Lance. I am almost embarrassed to have been part of this report, because it is so biased. All these people that testified, the only picture they draw is that Lance was evil, and that he made them dope. Well, that’s not true, because they continued to dope when they were on other teams!”

JV dislikes him because he tells the actual truth, rather than the JV sanitized, marketing version. By "gossip" JV really meant the truth.

Good to see how JV is educating his riders about being on message with regards to anti doping....

Here's Slippystream rider Joe Dumbrowski's parents ready to ride Agnello today

Big Armstrong fans!
Dombrowski came from the Livestrong development team. The only reason he's a pro is that they talked his folks into him dropping out of college.

He's said: "The way I look at it, I’m grateful for the opportunity that he created in starting this development team and creating a path, especially for young Americans to make that leap to the pros. But at the same time, I recognize, guess what, if someone else had won the Tour de France and done it clean, they could have also created those opportunities and done the same thing."

Do you think Vaughters and Armstrong are still close? I see this as parents being grateful towards the guy who gave their kid his first big break. Sort of like a lot of guys and Hincapie. Maybe Lance gifted them the jerseys back when. Not ideal, but understandable, IMHO. YMMV.

I do not understand how you cannot understand what Armstrong mean for him. grow up with him on tv, began cycling when it was alla about lance, raced for livestrong, he's a pro because of that team.
it is a different point of view compared to europe. the parents bought that jerseys and luckily are not thinking "should I wear, should I not"
call it wrong, no problem. they cheer for their son and ride up Agnel, and they not bothered.

Or just wearing he jerseys he gave them.

Why not wear argyle jerseys? Slipsteam, Garmin or cannondale.....

Being grateful for what? Introducing their son to the cesspit!

Is this the same mentality that invigorates the praise for Pantini in Italy?

No the parents are not thinking "should I wear, should I not", but they should be.

It is the job of the fan to be responsibly informed about the sport. But even more, it is the responsibility of participants, Joe, to be informed, and act accordingly. Endorsing Armstrong either shows an ignorance of the responsibility to be an ambassador of the sport, an ignorance of the impact of Armstrong, or a disregard for those ideas entirely.

Joe and his parents can respect the opportunity they were given. That is very different though, from continuing to show support for a major player in the corruption of the sport.

i dont blame Prance

but Prance did all those acts, not to be beneficent alliterationz, be a patron, but part of his comprehensive strategy to own and control the sport, if Floyd was always in the tent, and content to be merely runner-up at discovery in july, he would have scraped thru life on 1million per and the protection of Prance, much like little levei leipheimer more alliterationz

to confer credibility and credit on prance is to deny one's sentience. thankyou

Hey JV, why are you not part of the process involving a Slipstream sports riders positive for a banned substance?

How can you wash your dirty hands of Danielson?

The day a judge granted Op Puerto Blood bags to WADA, UCI and CONI, JV keeps silent. Now that is some serious life dedicated to anti-doping right there!

agreed.
And he has a 50+ hematocrit exemption. How convenient.
JV hired him as a DS for one reason only.

could Wegelius be the proud owner of a Puerto bag?
Highly unlikely.

Liquigas! Basso, Di Luca... etc etc etc.

That team. My goodness.

be great if he is, lets see JV weasel his way out of that. Even Whitey-mate did not have his blood bags refrigerated around europe colonies, just got trent to do it himself.

julich, wegelius... whoops, no, JV never had Julich
