Another classics podium, this time in Paris-Tours. A rider who can podium both Tre Valli Varesine and Paris-Tours is automatically an interesting rider to look out for. Means he can probably do well in any classic.

Another classics podium, this time in Paris-Tours. A rider who can podium both Tre Valli Varesine and Paris-Tours is automatically an interesting rider to look out for. Means he can probably do well in any classic.
I was perhaps most impressed he did so well in Emilia which was the type of terrain I was not sure about whether he could make an impression in the first few years of his career at pro level. So indeed might play a role in any classic on the calendar.

Today he looked like the strongest on the hills to me, but missed a little bit of power to build upon the small gaps he got on the flat off road sections.

Nonetheless super impressive performance because he was spending way more energy in the 60-30km to go zone by attacking and counter attacking then guys like Vacek, Laporte and Trentin were spending.

Really an impressive ride. The way he performed over the last days (and probably even better) will be his level in 2026 - just a question of weeks in 26 until his first pro win…
