Another classics podium, this time in Paris-Tours. A rider who can podium both Tre Valli Varesine and Paris-Tours is automatically an interesting rider to look out for. Means he can probably do well in any classic.
I was perhaps most impressed he did so well in Emilia which was the type of terrain I was not sure about whether he could make an impression in the first few years of his career at pro level. So indeed might play a role in any classic on the calendar.Another classics podium, this time in Paris-Tours. According to PCS he is starting his season at Kuurne on Sunday but that is his only listed race so information is surprisingly sparse for such a hotly touted young rider. So I am a bit surprised he has not done any racing yet in the preparation races on the calendar.
Is he starting his season in the Omloop, or did something happen to him during off-season?
He got bumped up to the WT at OmloopHe is no longer in pre list for Kuurne Maybe something wrong? Ill?
Very good to see him at this level after quite a unlucky and therefore poor start to the season. At only 19 years he looks to become a superb rider for these races.Decent ride today to finish in the top 10 even though he lacked the legs in the final sprint.
Surely in a couple of years time, he will able to hang in with the likes of Remco and win a sprint.
Should target the hilly one day races initially and later shift to the cobbles. Follow the Career path of Gilbert and if the starts align, he can win all five monuments.Very good to see him at this level after quite a unlucky and therefore poor start to the season.
