Meh, stick a bunch of money behind Törku and Mustafa will win the Tour in the next two years. The only real difference between Sayar and Froome is money and PR, and the level of the guys they're beating up on. Sayar should've aimed bigger if Törku could get the invites.

Pretty much yeah.

We all knew that Kittel is a hypocrite. Taking on the weak guys is easy (and yes calling out armstrong is weak, beating a dead horse)

Become finally useful for the cycling sport Kittel and call out sky. Show you really mean it.

Stay a hypocrite (or idiot who fails to notice it) or become this guy you claim to be.

He doesnt even need to "call out Sky". All he has to do is to question their recent grade of success and raise doubts about Froomes riding (comparing figures from the past).

Every rider, and journalist, failing to uphold some healthy criticism, and avoiding the uncomfortable questions is a servant of Omertá.

And Kittel is Omertás best friend at the moment. Speaking out without actually speaking out.

"I feel SICK when I read that Contador, Sanchez & Indurain still support Armstrong. How does someone want to be credible by saying that?!" Kittel tweeted, following recent pro-Armstrong comments made by the three Spaniards in the press.

"I mean, it makes it all worse. They should play their false game somewhere else. Or do they ride for money instead of joy?!" he continued to ask.

Unequivocal about his anti-doping stance, Kittel even answered a critical Tweet from another user, who suggested, "Don't you think it's better to shut your mouth. Cycling history always turns back 2 people like you." The German responded: "Not anymore! I'll risk it!"

Funny how everyone is retweeting Kittel now that Sayar is busted. I wonder if they'll all link the prophets in the Clinic when the same happens to Sky? :p More likely they'll keep saying the nonbelievers are all loons and pat themselves on the back for being "optimists" and believing in innocent until proven guilty and whatever other crap they can come up with to defend not spotting the most blatant, in-your-face dopers the sport has seen since Riccò.

I get it now. It's all about personal vindication and being proven right at the expense of others more than the interests of the sport.

If there's any crap, it's this "I won't be fooled" mentality where some think their opinion is 100% concrete on all this. I take no joy if Sky/Froome get busted as it's the interests of the sport that matter to me, not some personal vindication BS point of view.

Nah, I couldn't care less about vindication. I'm already so bored of the thing, and it hasn't even been two years since Sky went alien. Froome wants to win eight times. I mean, if he suddenly went positive, I would be singing and dancing, and that would also be really, really good for the sport. But barely anyone in the WT tests positive. It'll take ages for us to slowly learn what went on at Sky, and by the time they squeeze a partial confession out of Brailsford I'll be surprised if anyone cares. I certainly won't.

I guess it does. There are those who are happy when dopers are caught. Then there are those who are sad they did not get away with it.

Happy when dopers are caught is one thing but if they are doping and they get busted and you're reaction is to be singing and dancing, well that is another thing.

You would have to be freaking moron to now know Sayer was doping, just like you have to be a freaking moron to not know Froome is.

The issue with Kittel was never whether or not Sayer was doping. It was why Kittel calls out Sayer while he stays quiet about others who do far more damage to the sport. A guy like Sayer can dope to the gills and it does not affect the sport much at all. Froome has made a mockery of cycling's showcase event.

NOTICE: Not intending to thread jack. Yes, I am aware there is a Froome thread.

COMMENT: How?

Froome is merely a case of same old. Same old.

At least with cycling, and with the Tour, we are not only prepared for Froome, we expect it.

Athletics needs to catch up.

Dave.

Was Froome spotted with needle marks? Did Sky have a positive from Wiggins in the Tour last year like with Torku/Grabovsky in Turkey? Are Sky out of the bio passport like Torku are?

Both situations are entirely different. All this is what added to the suspicion at the time.

You would have to be a scumbag to accuse others of being morons for beleiving that a rider could be clean who has no real evidence of doping against them like Froome.

del1962 those who escue evidence in favour of belief often feel a sense of entitlement which enables them to have no issue with a little name calling with regard to those who do not share their religion. (In addition to the pedaling of un-substantiated allegations.)

Too bad the true believers cannot explain how Froome's VO2Max went up by twenty percent in the middle of his career. I am sure they will keep believing, but it is absolutely impossible for Froome to have the VO2Max he has now and not have shown that potential when he was a young rider. That only happens with doping. There were fools who believed Armstrong right up till he confessed. The same sort of low bandwidth types will believe in Froome. Hopefully those cretins won't take any free personality tests.
