Not riding Roubaix? Odd. Can't complain at a 3rd though - great year indeed.

He's done like Gilbert and now Van Avermaet the lst couple of years with skipping Roubaix to ride well in AGR instead. He's been top 10 in AGR before so perhaps he feels he has a better shot there than in Roubaix.

Saw it all last night.
Rujano flew up the Bochetta, taking a 16 second lead over the top.
Wasn't long before Cunego and co reeled him in.
All through Genoa, Androni launched attack after attack on Cunego and he marked them all.
Eventually, they tried to 1-2 him and he still wouldn't budge.
Come the sprint and he left them for dead.

Yesterday I came to the finishing line just in time to see Cunego winning (I live in Genova)... unluckily I've been busy all Sunday, when I arrived I had no idea of who was in front :(
Have been read the thread by the way, it seems it was a good race :(

rujano killed them on la bocchetta.his form is impressive.cunego responded to ten attacks or so of androni on the flat.he's looking good for ardennes.
the time on la bocchetta this year wasn't so good probably because the climb was positioned about 55 km to go,longer than in the past.

I know they are all slower than Cunego, but it's pretty difficult to lose a race with 4 people in the final 7.

Well... Il Principe is sooooo much class! and this years looks like He HAVE IT AGAIN!!!
so I dont blame Androni

----------

Dude Rujano has been improving really quickly!
A win is close! and a win in Il Giro is most than likely!
