I do understand. Let me make a wild guess that these mushrooms were harvested shortly after a rain storm and when you pulled the stems off they turned blue.

FYI- Big explosion near my apt. My friend says that a Radio Shack store blew up in Chelsea (19th@6th NYC) I hope there is no anti-Armstrong group that is responsible for this. I won't be able to see it in person for another 2 hours

A Con Edison transformer in a vault below the sidewalk on Avenue of the Americas exploded in a fireball seven stories high Thursday morning, badly damaging stores and offices in a building at the corner of 20th Street. There were no injuries reported.

This type of fire is familiar in the area R.U.B (Righteous Urban BBQ) is only a few blocks away but I like their smoke and flames.
