I know norwegians don't dope, but this guy has to be one of the most suspicious riders in cycling right now. Since when can he TT like that?

I agree he is pretty suspicious, but I'm not sure you can read much into a time trial like that. It was very short (almost a prologue), very technical (so lots of variable pacing) and only a handful of riders were probably motivated to go 100%. Didn't he finish 6th on a similar course at De Panne two years ago?

His tt'ing reminds me of this guy:

Massive gear. Poor position etc.

Anyway, in modern cycling doping is needed if a rider wants to be part of the business end of a monument.

He is probably doping, but he is also a rider that has progressed nicely every year. No sudden jumps there!

BMC Kristoff was a bit of a joke, but he was still young so maybe it's not inherently more unlikely than any other pro performance.

Katusha's 2nd Norwegian, Bystrom (like Kristoff from Stavanger cycling school), says Kristoff is clean.

- You fear not pro life darker sides?

- No, I am not thinking so much. I have seen several of my competitors on my own age step up and many of the runs well. There is plenty to suggest that the problem of doping has improved greatly in recent years. Everything Kristoff has got to also indicate it.

so it's ok to dope if no sudden jumps?

aka if you dope from 18y old , *talent no jumps, is ok?

i mean, why is ok for Kristoff to dope but not for others? Seems you have some issues with some of the dopers and not with others.

Since he was 6th in this very TT two years ago?

Note that this is a TT that suits sprinters, else Greipel and Viviani wouldn't be top 15. Those guys aren't exactly TT specialists either.

He had a reason to put in a big effort and not many others did. Looks like the TT suited sprinters too so I'm not sure it's that suspicious, especially if Greipel and Viviani get in the top 15 when they really had no reason to try that hard.

This, pretty much. A short, technical course often suits pure sprinters.
But his team, team doctor and Norway, all combined.
Funny.

Still much more believable than others sudden transformations, mind.

A clean rider on Katusha? That's about as likely as an antelope joining a pack of hyenas.
This pretty much, I assume that is also the reason why Rodriguez isnt often discussed in this forum
They hired Ekimov as manager right after the reasoned decision for f*cks sake

Hushovd is ridiculously nationalistic and always talks up the other norwegians, calling them all future superstars etc etc and is so happy when they do well.
Kristoff, he's always hated for some reason. Wonder if that says something.

The Norwegan riders are peforming so well because they grew up with fresh air and healthy food. It's the viking myths all over over again...

Hushovd is just jealous that Kristoff is having a better career than him. Both obvious dopers but Kristoff is really ridiculous at the moment.
