Surely mean TDF (now playing TestDriveUnlimited2:D).
He will not get even 1 from 3 cobblestones.

Good luck with that game. :D

But also: which one is the third big classic on cobbles? Not Gent-Wevelgem I hope?

Pozzato completely forgets about how to win and just suck Gilbert's wheels:p

others are nothing just someone always top 10 and hard to get big win.

not a win team. too far from GREAT

Leopard with Cancellara is nothing too me also.

Pipo and Gilbert are different spec riders. But when you have 6 guys that mightly every year in top 10 of cobblestones you can count on wins.

Nope. not every year. just a few year. If these guys every year in top 10, Katusa will have a Boonen-Devolder show every year now. they still not good enough

An almost-legendary KBK

Tyler Farrar was unlucky. Not only did he suffer a puncture, in the finale he chose the wrong line and ended up in 4th place. He was, however, not the only one. Greipel also couldn't find the right wheel and only made it to 3rd place.

Amazing.

Imagine that both men hadn't made their respective ever so small errors in judgement and were slightly more lucky - just imagine what would have happened.

We would have seen two top sprinters on 1st place!

Sadly, because of the bad luck of Farrar and Greipel, we've all been cheated out of a legendary edition of Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne.

Really it was a decent edition, but I don't think anyone could really call it a legendary edition. Now last years that was a legendary edition

What? It's true, especially compared to this year's edition. Most, if not all, will agree on this.
No, I was (and still am) amazed how badly my post was read. I cannot for the love of God understand how in a brain the words 'we have been cheated out of a legendary edition' be transformed into 'it was a legendary edition', aside from completely missing the obvious irony.

I did not read your post. However, it's pretty clear now that I have. Cheers mate.

thats one of the craziest posts ive ever read.

You are basically saying that had the finishing order been

1/. Tyler Farrar (Garmin Cervelo)
2/. Andre Greipel (Lotto)
3/. Chris Sutton (Sky)

it would have been a LEGENDARY edition of Kuurne Bruxelles Kuurne?

You dont get out much do you ;)

Actually this year was legendary... or at least historic.

First time an Australian ever won the race. German and US riders have won it before (three German wins and 1 US win).

I find it odd that in KBK only three nationalities have more then one race victory in the race.

It's bad enough to find that so many Dutch are able to write better idiomatic English than most Brits. But now we are faced with incontrovertible evidence that they have a better British sense of humour too.

obvious irony?
Nothing on here is often obvious irony, there are people who truly hold some strange beliefs on here, some even think the ToC is very important on a global scale

I just stated that even if Farrar or Greipel had won it would not have been a legendary edition.

Ditto. If the original post was intended to be ironic, then about 90% of the posts on this forum could be claimed to be ironic.

also greg van avermaet blamed everyone but himself or else he would've won too. 3 guys who would've won if they didn't had bad luck!! has that ever happened in a race yet?? would indeed be legendary to have 3 winners.

Especially considering that the UCI already have good rules for how to deal with riders being stopped by trains.

As a relative newcomer to following races outside the TdF in detail, rather than merely results, I wasn't aware that so many of the big races involve level crossings. But what are these "good rules" Would the prior work of the breakaway have been somehow protected if they had sat for a few minutes waiting for the gates?

No, the joke is that if Farrar and Greipel had won it would have been a legendary edition. If it were not for the mistakes, both of them would have won, apparently. Hence the (obvious) irony.

So is ACF being "ironic" when he says Cadel can win the Tour De France, am I being ironic when I say Uran can podium, or are we just both talking crap?

Let me try to explain it one more time: the joke is that Greipel and Farrar would have won. Both of them. At the same time. A legendary edition of Kuurne, with two winners. Get it?

But I don't think UCI rules would allow that.
