Nordhaug was certainly a protected rider today, was last Sunday, and will be next Sunday.

Must be surprising to most as not a mention of Albasini in 40+ pages of this thread, I may be wrong but don't think he made one of the posted top 10's. I think GreenEdge is still invisible ;-)

There were too many riders supposed to be better than him, I just say his 2nd place is not out of nowhere

You mean a healthy Gilbert and one having troubles with all sorts of illnesses and a tooth infection and is just finding his form. Remember he has improved leaps and bounds from 2 weeks ago. He will be much better later in the season.

Thanks for that. Only mentioned it to just let everyone know that GE were racing and he had as good a form as nearly anyone else leading into the race, plus he seems to do well in the tough weather conditions. Time to go to bed in Australia but watch out for GE again on the weekend, Gerrans wasn't far away last weekend and should be rested up nicely (and warm).

Horner was first over the Hoy at 31ks looking good. He could have been in the top ten easy. I think he was sent back to help Frank finish 20th. That's just stupid. Bring me bucket, I want to puke!

Good to see him attack and show some guts today after that crash, he might be Sky's most improved rider this season by far.
