No, he showed guts. All or nothing.

I'm saying that Sky should definitely make Nordhaug their protected rider in races like this. Henao and Nordhaug have ridden the same races all season and Nordhaug have beaten Henao almost every single time. And where was Sky's goldenboy Uran today?

Nordhaug was certainly a protected rider today, was last Sunday, and will be next Sunday.

Gilbert is up there, thought not close to Jrod. This race doesn't suit Gilbert. even in 2010 he only managed a 5th.
He can win LBL:)
Last year he won, and this year he's 2nd...Hmmm... how come it doesn't suit him?

LOL. Yeah, a Colombian climber was hired by Sky to beat up the Europeans in the Classics. I did not know that one.

BTW, what the hell happened to Uran??

He crashed quite badly early on. Dunno if he DNF the race though.

Must be surprising to most as not a mention of Albasini in 40+ pages of this thread, I may be wrong but don't think he made one of the posted top 10's. I think GreenEdge is still invisible ;-)

There were too many riders supposed to be better than him, I just say his 2nd place is not out of nowhere

Edit:
2012 - 2nd
2011 - 12th
2010 - 10th
2009 - 9th
2008 - 7th

Wilba60 should have the honors. Only person to even mention Albasini, I think

Looking forward to hearing RSNT's PR (BS) on this performance. :D

Frank had a puncture, Horner isn't in top form and Andy was in a short breakaway, seems like they tried to me.

Yeah, how can you even begin to compare OPL Gilbert with BMC Gilbert

You mean a healthy Gilbert and one having troubles with all sorts of illnesses and a tooth infection and is just finding his form. Remember he has improved leaps and bounds from 2 weeks ago. He will be much better later in the season.

Sure. So you've pretty much given up on the Ardennes already, I see..

Jurgen still able to score a 10th spot after doing the work for Jelle early on the Mur ... very strong in my opinion, he'll be ready for Liège!!

Phil was quite straight forward in his post-race interview for Sporza ... he'll be aiming for the win next Sunday ... no excuses

Thanks for that. Only mentioned it to just let everyone know that GE were racing and he had as good a form as nearly anyone else leading into the race, plus he seems to do well in the tough weather conditions. Time to go to bed in Australia but watch out for GE again on the weekend, Gerrans wasn't far away last weekend and should be rested up nicely (and warm).

Horner was first over the Hoy at 31ks looking good. He could have been in the top ten easy. I think he was sent back to help Frank finish 20th. That's just stupid. Bring me bucket, I want to puke!

Who said anything about Nordhaug winning LBL or anything

Good to see him attack and show some guts today after that crash, he might be Sky's most improved rider this season by far.

P.S. I am not Norwegian :p
