Could be a good thing. More teams not wanting to wait for the sprint, less teams wanting to cooperate in the peloton.

No, it's called probability calculation. The point of riding a race is to try and win. When you don't have the same firepower as other teams or other riders, you have to try to create the conditions, play your cards so that other teams and other riders lose more of their firepower than you or are at a disadvantage before the finish. In order to do that you have to take some chances because it's impossible to cover all bases. If you are already weaker than your opponent, doing the work for your stronger opponent certainly isn't going to improve your chances.
Yeah, yeah, I know... All that is nice in theory, but what if for example we have a strong group of riders after penultimate Mur, without let's say UAE, QS and Movistar. You're saying Movi and Steppers should not work, right? I think they should.

We can all hope for a surprise, but every team leader probably has the same rap song on loop in their head today:

"With my mind on my mur, and my mur on my mind."

What of Madouas?

Always down to ride here and LBL.

Is he unable you sit on his bike yet after a Sunday in Hell? o_O
I think so, yeah. He'll be back for Liege, he said. Teuns is one of the big names doing both, but he stepped off right after Arenberg (as planed).

There are actually more riders than I thought on the start list today which finished on Sunday: Kwiatkowski, G. Vermeersch, Balmer, Maas, Laengen, Nieuwenhuis, Fedorov, Reynders, Lazkano, Hollenstein, Boivin and Biermans.

Fair but in every other endurance sport the race is already halfway over or finished by 8:30AM. Seems they should be able to push the time by a bit at least though..
never really understood why Fleche Wallonne finishes so early. So normally it should be possible to move the whole thing by an hour or so - but all in all, if you want both races on the same day, and at a decent length, that's how it is.

They should move the women's race 90 minutes back and the men's one hour, and then cut 30 to 60 minutes from the live coverage of the men's race, which doesn't need to last four hours.

It's the same sitation in LBL, but that works alright because it isn't on a weekday. Also there the men start only half an hour later than the women instead of two hours like in FW.

Maybe today, UAE will do a 1-2-3 in Fleche Wallonne: Pogacar-Hirschi-Ayuso…

What do you think?

Regarding QS, today and Sunday will decide if their spring was a good or bad one. They still hope for Alaphilippe wins today and in LBL on Sunday. Should they not win any of the two, Lefevere‘s face will once more turn deeply red, I fear…

What do you think?

Ayuso to break the team hierarchy, attack Pogi and win the Fleche. As a result Pogi will leave the team (after a series of "f**k you") and join Israel to help Chris during the Tour. As a consequence the ski-jumper will win the biggest race in the world.

I see: you have exactly my sense of humour… :)

If you add the humour of my best friend I told you all of, it would be like this:

Ayuso, winner of FW, to the journalists: „You know, he (Pogi) IMHO is a very weak cyclist“.

Pogi hears this, and shouts at Ayuso: „Fck off, you jrk!“… (That‘s what Lance once shouted at Halgand during the Dauphine) ;)

:)
