Slow hand clap for Demare, finally getting a win. All it took was a bunch finish where not one other rider apart from his own lead out is capable of sprinting fast enough to win a field sprint in an under 12s race. Hopefully he'll get a bit of confidence from this, and FDJ will be able to up his competition by entering him into a race for one legged men.

I was thinking the same. What an awful sprinter lineup. He should have been fired on the spot if hadn't won this.

What? You guys don't think Jan Bakelants is a top sprinter? :D

Realistically, I think only Ruffoni and Van Staeyen could compete a bit.

What was wrong with Ruffoni last year anyway? He was absolutely horrendous. I have him in my CQ team though, so my fingers are crossed :D
He was not horrendous but he just hadn't stepped up from the year before. Hopefully he will this year although his results in Valencia seem to indicate this in not the case... :p It is a shame because his 2014 season was so promising and he does seem to have the speed so perhaps it is his positioning. He is scheduled to ride Langkawi though, if he could grab a win there it might work wonders for his confidence. I think he will sprint against Guardini and Palini there.

Add Mareczko too.

You're right. Normally Ruffoni should be the worst of the 4 but perhaps he can surprise :)

Yeah Van Staeyen, what happened to him? Why did he not sprint?

Yesterdays finish was really hectic and dangerous from what I ve read lots of roundabouts in the final and other dangerous situations:

Kevin Ledanois ‏@KevinLedanois
Depuis quand c'est autorisé autant de dangerosité sur une course de vélo ? Voiture contre sens, bus qui passe dvt le peloton, ect..

Grivko won, in front of Ladagnous and Bakelants (who seems to be in great form again). Happy for Grivko, as it has been a while since he won. He also leads the GC by 18 seconds on Ladagnous and 40 on Bakelants.

Is there any other type?

If you're agile enough I guess you could clap with your feet.
Actually, I tried it; the sound isn't the same.

Anyway; I'm assuming that profile up there is a circuit, and that they didn't find 19 identical hills.
Why is it in Basque, btw?
I got it from some Basque guy's twitter

Since his win in Tour '13, a weight fell of his shoulders. Now he wins every year 1-2 times. His first win so early. He can go for a stage in Paris - Nice and podium.

You think? I think he has little to no chance. To many great climbers in the race. Top 10 maybe. But I'd love to see that because it'd mean he'll have to do some crazy unexpected attack from far out like Gallopin last year.
