In trouble all day, tons of mistakes mental and physical and team near useless to pace her or get someone disruptive in the break.. Vas is a great racer, not today

Vas dropped a bit early, but she was not going to feature in the final anyway.

Vollering back on top, impressive by Kastelijn, Kasia still getting over her virus??? and NFB seemed to crack and will be disappointed.

Yes, would have more expected from NFB. But still 7th overall. Lets hope just bad legs after yesterdays stage.

Dani Rowe was on comms saying the team doctors will have checked her out first....

yeah in the less than 10secs to swap a bike, don't think so somehow.

She was lying on her left side, but it seems to be the right arm thats come off worse
Yeah, no accountability there by team.

Demi-Goddess feels she has a point to prove after the Ardennes and the way the team has started to phase her out before she's even gone in terms of their tactical plans. This was the kind of thing Anna VDB used to do, make all the moves herself, do all the pacing herself, just make sure everybody knows that you're the strongest and you're going to win.

Seconding Samu's note on Trinca Colonel. She's a big miss for the Emerging riders game, but riders who don't come from a background of racing in a competitive péloton are always a question mark on their pack skills (see Jay Vine, for example). Certainly she's got the engine, though.

Problem now is NFB along with Reusser are likely to be on domestique duty for Vollering. If they had been on the GC podium, they would have had something to defend. Maybe like you say, she might recover and be better in the next stages and make it back to the podium.

I am guessing that a break away victory will occur on stage seven. This could be a very aggressive day of racing.

Vollering is the new Pog at the Giro?
Ever since Van Vleuten retired she doesn't have any real competition any more in the mountains, which kind of sucks for us viewers.

I think Reusser is more than happy to do domestique duty for Vollering, she's out of contract end of this year too, or not been re-signed by SDWorx however you look at it.

- nothing about Realini? so she must be kinda OK despite how it initially looked

EDIT:
Just short update from team's website:

"Gaia Realini was checked by the team doctor on the finish line, and although the first assessment was positive, Gaia will be monitored overnight to make sure she is fit to race the next stage."

Any news if Realini is ok? She looked quite in pain right after the crash.

They've said that the team doctor will keep her under observation. She still has a chance to win a stage and/or help ELB, but if she's feeling the crash tomorrow (or now for that matter), it will probably be better to abandon and focus on the next races.
