Look at the finishing results of the domestiques on each stage. There is a pattern there pardner. It is called team tactics in cycling. Stage race/not a classic or one day national championship race. Phil and Paul and Bob really do need to participate on this forum to let people here no what time it is.

:D:D:D All time most delusional comment on the forum!

Philsie/Bob/the other guy, I forgot his name, they try to explain this sport to the newcomers. Why are people commenting in this forum who obviously havn't raced or are fans of cycling. These people are blithering, the same as a Mr. Taylor Phinney. Even Floyd and Greg do not pop off like these forum people.

Astana shows character and heart. They pedal hard for many reasons. They won today. Vino has gone for the stage win two days in a row. Contador raced to win yesterday too. AC actually made some time.

Radio Shack has lost all motivation because Lance has given up. Not hard to see. They are going to have to do something to get a GC result. LL will not get on the podium waiting for the TT.

True true that race tactics call for taking it easy. Daniel Navarro Garcia, David De La Fuente Rasilla, Jesus Hernandez Blazquez have actually put the hammer down and have a purpose in this Tour.

All I see is Radio Shack barely hanging on much less racing and making a difference.

Navarro has been the man so far. Pacing well on the climbs and then dropping the hammer (madeline) and absolutely blowing the leaders to pieces. Incredible to see.

Yawnshack are really grasping at straws on this TdF, team leader blown, new team leader left out in the cold, and now we are told they are riding for the team classification and having a laugh at the strongest team who the winner is looking likely will be Contador.

Boy we are really fooled by their team tactics. Those genii that LA/JB are! no doubt when they comeback next year everyone will think they are no threat and they go up the road and win the first stage by hours and sit back for the rest of TdF 2011...

you still fail to realize RS are not strong enough to do anything but to watch the race from the back

the difference here is that astana had someone at the front of the race

My point was that Astana was resting their climbing domestiques...

i wonder if it is more lack of blood doping or a mental/stress induced breakdown. besides his illness its been smooth sailing not so much this time. how many crashes has he had? he is a *** but i dont share the opinion of him being a poor gc contender as the others are doped to and dope wont make just anybody win a tour(its true really) but his days are gone now. im shocked at how bad hes doing though. his face tells the tale he has given up i wonder if he will go for a stage all he can do now.

I love how CN put their photo caption:

Armstrong said he lost 15 minutes 'on purpose' to so for stage wins.

They are laughing hard

Vino is a real teammate.

Armstrong might as well have signed autographs along the way today.

Armstrong is just making his ride a final parade through France.

He got booed on at the finish as well.

Armstrong is trying to stay as close to one of the team cars as possible in case the shyt hits the fan so that he and Johaan can make a rapid exit, leaving Leipheimer up the road transfixed on whatever wheel he is following, oblivious to it all.

I just watched today's stage. I found it disgraceful to see LA the Good Teammate yukking it up off the back of the peloton while Wheelsucker was minutes up the road fighting for 6th on the GC.

I get the impression the race is now just a joke since he blew his chance to win it.

IMHO anyone whose bib number ends with a "1" needs to suck it up and ride like they care. Honor your team, the race and the rainbow stripes around your sleeve.

But that's just me...

It is not just you - I thought it was disgraceful the way he rode. He should ride like a champion or as a teammate, preferably both. Right now, he is riding like neither.

If Lance cared about fighting cancer or sending a message, he'd fight like a dog every stage to show what not giving up is all about.

He's as much a fraud in his message as he is in his cycling.

Excellent point.

it is pretty ordinary to see his efforts... even if you can't provide help on the climbs at least work on the flat for your team.

Hey,give Lance a break,he is being a good teammate,he's driving the team bus!

Let's hope it doesn't accidentally come to a grinding halt on a windy mountain road...
