Landis: What -- what is a person supposed to do when they make the wrong decision? I mean, are you committed to that path for good? Are you -- once you tell a lie, are you committed to tell that lie forever?

No, Floyd, if you want to come clean then that is fine. What we don't expect is for you to bait and switch and betray everyone you've ever known in cycling to make your own lying look not so bad. It doesn't make any sense that you'd do that. It's such a nasty thing to do.

Who's that "we" in your post? The pro peloton? Is that omerta speaking?

What makes you think the reason he is betraying everyone he's ever known in cycling is in order to make his own lying look not so bad?

I think it's pretty clear he doesn't care about how he looks.
What he seems to care about is breaking omerta wide open.

For Floyd, it's not about Floyd, as near as I can tell.

Lance could end this easily enough

I don't really care what Armstrong's involvement in doping practices is or was but do take issue with his attorney when he said in that interview: "He's gifted physically in ways that are very unique...".

OK, so what "gifts" are these? It's a lame comment to make since (a) we are all unique, that's how human genetics works unless he's a clone or an absolutely identical twin - and even then there are differences. And (b) if he has these gifts then let's see 'em - prove it. If he can prove he has natural physical gifts of a higher order than any other tour rider then we have an explanation for his 'extraterrestrial' gifts. Otherwise it's lame.

If Lance can 'prove' a difference physically he can end this... or his attorney should be more careful about what he says. Of course he's only as good physically as many other riders and any difference comes down to other qualities, less quantifiable. Otherwise it's dope. He should shut his attorney up and stick to his denials.

What surprises me most. Is that Armstrong was so open about using.

Armstrong's downfall will be that he trusted himself to make "good" decisions, and those he thought could be trusted to stand by him, couldn't.

Tell you what, Floyd...

Floyd maybe telling the truth... but here it is, If you wanna do "the right thing" and have me care, work hard to raise money and payback all the people who gave you money for your defense - that you now say was fraud- then, maybe then, I'll care to listen to anything else you might have to say about life or racing...

Hear Hear TahoeNL.

Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.

Or vice versa.

Whatever.

I agree with the first part. As for the second part, I'd rather he tell the truth now rather than AFTER he raises the hundreds of thousands needed to pay back everybody. Whether he's telling the truth now...I think he is, but ultimately it's going to be up to the investigators to see what's there.

Hermans cracks out the "Lance is the most tested athlete amateur or professional in history, over 300 tests, none positive"

Wait, yesterday it was 500...he didn't get tested 200 times in one day???
