Come on Arbiter you've been here long enough to know the answer to that question.

It is patently absurd to say Armstrong has destroyed anyone's life. Who the hell are you talking about?

He has, however, helped more people than TFF (Mr great timing) has had hot dinners.

Yeah, well you're still here too. Apparently the lights are on but nobody is home at the moment.

But my posts are at least getting deleted by Martin, and when old cranky comes back the account we get deleted. I probably won't come back on either since I had a decent discussion tonight before the trolls turned up, so I am satisfied. I love the technical stuff that people don't spot.

But there are two sock accounts not being deleted, one of which claims to have known me for a long time but only had 11 posts.

Having just read the email exchange i was expecting something quite sensational given the obvious excitement of previous posters.

What i saw was the same old Floyd: i.e.

Your a liar
Come clean
Tell Lance to come clean
You will have to testify bla blah.
I was lost but now I'm found
The truth has set me free.

I thought HV's response was pretty much on the money, despite my reservations about the man.

I don't think you understand the essence of the exchange. Merely by initiating it in the first place HV demonstrated really poor judgement. He must be barking mad to send it.

FLs rather supercilious response is exactly the right tone to set in response. People who fire off these kind of emails deserve nothing more than flippancy. The added advantage is that it often enrages them enough to dig themselves into an even deeper hole. To me it just shows that HV is feeling the pressure and the cracks are showing.

If you each got parole for your first 50 accounts you would still be banned and he would have 46 lives to go.

Well this is geting boring isn't it. Even the trolls have packed up.

Got to get up real early for the dentist tomorrow, then I have a TT in the evening, then I have relatives coming over :(

It looks like I'll have to retire the undefeated champ before old cranky finishes me off.

If that's what will do it for you go tell both your friends how you put it to the entire cyclingnews forum.

Got it.

He snitched on Armstrong cause he knew it would lead to book sales on a future book.

Surprised more people don't just slander people and then write books for profit.

It is not slander if it is true. Those kind of books are called "Tell All's".

The gullible global public will soon be stating, "Lance, tell us it is not true..."

Even if Greg's lawyers wrote those emails for Floyd, they were damn funny. Hein took both of those comebacks straight up the Hein-ie, and well deserved it. Hope he enjoys irony; he just did more to rebuild Floyd's public image than any paid PR firm ever could have. Probably should have kept his wit to himself, in Hein-sight.
Excuse me sir, we're investigating reports of illegal pun use I'm going to have to ask you to come this way.

...he does mention that he is planning on writing another book, which will make him money, and this has gotten him a ton of publicity.

.......

so? no one is being forced to buy it. at least this one should be factually correct and give some gruesome inside details into the omerta and that wont be a bad thing for those who want to race in procycling or want to push the kids in that direction. So could be a good thing. Who knows he may give the profits to charity.....

a charity for doping cheating TdF winners, i believe there is a lot of them around....

I think a lot of people have respect for FloydLandis for coming out. I believe no one on here has forgotten Landis was part of the omerta and tried to win a TdF on what seems huge amounts of PEDs. He made a hard decision to blow his life for the last 15 years open and lay it bare to he world, warts and all. He knows that the people he made friendships in procycling (his family for those years) with will probably never forgive him for that, but he still went and did it. It tells me what kind of a cycling community he was involved in, why would he/we expect these people to have any dignity, when they behave in such a manner in their lives. The other is he knew how big a 'saint' uniballer is viewed in usa and he was gonna be the guy accused of lying again and possibly lose, but still he did it.

Uniballer was gonna get it and soon as he announced he was coming back. I am amazed no one did it before Landis the way uniballer has gone around bullying and mistreating riders and team mates. But obviously he is so powerful that many did not have the balls that Landis has. Some people will say Landis had nothing to lose, i dont think so.

So while i think no one on here will remember Landis as a great cyclist, his career will always be remembered as a doper, he will be held in high esteem, by me anyway, for daring to take on the most powerful man in american cycling ever and looking like he will win.

Would anyone on the forum like to join me in petitioning th US congress to make a trade between France and the US. We could trade Floyd Landis for Roman Polanski so that they were made to face the music.

yeah la is at best a lying egomaniac at worst a true sociopath. flandis is even worse he is a lying rat ******* can no one see this? how can you respect such a man shows on your morality. your la hatred blinds you to flandis and his actions in general wtf is wrong with you people? they are both bad people yet because you hate one more your blind to the severe wrongdoings of the other. at least la is not a rat as of yet unlike flandis its disgusting how were some of you raised to believe that floyd's actions are in any way shape or form acceptable.

You have a very bizzare sense of justice. In your way of thinking, LA was right to have treated Simeoni the way he did for being a "rat."

The reality is that if you aren't a "rat," then you effectively support the omertà. If you aren't coming clean, you are part of the injustice.

No Landis is the real hero here, not frauds who try to pass themselves off as thaumaturges and to cover their crimes by cynically making a "sheild" of the terminally sick.

Why do you try to drag Polanski into this discussion?

Oh, you know.... statutory rape, use of PEDs... it's all the same, right?

Some will justify anything I guess.
