The key to all of this seems to be the feds being involved...

It is always in the lying to the Feds that snags the big ones... Or contempt. Anyone convinced that guys like Danielson, Hincapie, Zabriskie, CVV, Vaughters, etc. will lie or spend time in jail for contempt.

The game changes once the Feds get involved.

I sense this is the end to the "miracle".

FLandis killed the unicorns.

+1 also

A pity really that CN didn't have the guts to publish earlier. Now they got scooped by practically everybody else.

That will be his only saving grace. Though I wonder if there is pressure on Vaughters to come clean now? Tyler?
JV is a false prophet, he has been justifying performances by Wigans and CVdV from the get go

I love how there is a revolving Ultra ad on the right with Lance smiling. The start of tomorrow's stage is 15 minutes from my house. It will be interesting to say the least . . .

If Landis was paying up to $90K a year for his doping program then that is like twice what Hamilton was paying and probably twice what Ullrich was paying. Most of that money must have been going to Ferrari. Hamilton's actual cost for doping products was 8K euros and the cost of Fuentes was 35K if I remember correctly. First, it makes you wonder how much Armstrong was paying. Second, the winners were willing to pay a lot lot more for their programs than the also rans.

Well Floyds programme was $90,000 - not sure what the exchange rate was back then but from OP documents:
Basso & Ullrich paid €70,000 a year,
Sevilla & Botero paid €50,000 a year.

Also if any of these riders won a big race they had to pay a 'bonus' to Fuentes.
Tour de France - €50,000
Giro, Vuelta and World Championships, €30,000

Is this guy happy tonight? You betcha. Hope to see him this ToC.

Time for Frankie to make a public statement corroborating that Floyd told him years ago what was going on at Postal, long before Floyd would have had a reason to lie about it.

People are firing the links across twitter too. A tiny percentage are defending Armstrong "most tested blah blah blah".

I guess I am wrong. For some reason I was thinking Ullrich paid 30K.

As I suggested earlier this has the potential to go much deeper than a accusation that can be explained away by the USAC or UCI.

From the New York Daily News:

this is just when a truckload of Euro pros are now doing training camps in Colorado, they musta thought they were free from watchdog

I do not see how this will benefit Floyd. My opinion of him has flucuated from hero to goat to villan. I do not know what to think of Floyd now.

All I can say is God Bless you Floyd and good luck.

I know the people on forum have prayed for this day. I hope it turns out well for all of you.

Probably going to watch the occasional bike race down at Ft. Ord.

I will try to interest my son in cycling now though.

Good medicine Floyd chaupeaux. It is going to be a tough slog now for any fan of sport.

Probably no more cyclingnews forum. Now I can get my life back.

Euro was definitely worth more than Dollar around the mid-2000's, approx 1.3-1.4 Euros per Dollar.

Personally, to my mind this gets to the crux of this. It's the Fuentes and Ferraris who need to be got at, they don't seem to suffer any consequences and yet reap the rewards.

Finally, the last thing I’ll say to the people who don’t believe in cycling, the cynics and the sceptics: I'm sorry for you.
I’m sorry that you can’t dream big. I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles.
But this is one hell of a race. This is a great sporting event and you should stand around and believe it. You should believe in these athletes, and you should believe in these people. I'll be a fan of the Tour de France for as long as I live. And there are no secrets — this is a hard sporting event and hard work wins it. So Vive le Tour forever"

I have to admit I was wrong when I claimed that surely Levi's positive would resurface in the news to make Radioshack look bad during the Tour of California :p

It turned out to be a whole new level

I wish I got the coverage, would be entertaining to hear Phil and Paul explain this away.

I imagine we will be reminded that Landis is an admitted and disgraced doper. That he is a bitter man who is seeking revenge. They will not accept that the man upon who's shoulders they now stand could be mired in such shlt. They will not in any way talk about the substance of the allegations or in any way apply an objective lens to this situation.

Hopefully the fact that this has hit the mainstream media in a very big way will counteract the spin. I hope that we can get some truth on the matter (which may be a sign of my naivete).

The trolls seem to have gone quiet - at a team talk for the new spin maybe:p

Edit: it sure does explain why they couldn't ride the Giro Bro

Trolls can't think for themselves. They're waiting for the official spin tomorrow before they start regurgitating.
