Floyd should leak all the evidence to the public as soon as possible before the lawsuits hit. Man it's time to go "all in".
Call up Tyler too.

no, but she better start following her "Christian values" and tell the freakin truth for once.

And the email explains why she and LA are still good friends and get along. Alot of quid pro quo going on there.

Personally I never could stand her with her goofy smile, especially after the fundie deep end crap.

Its not hard to believe a stubborn and ruthless man like Armstrong might ignore advice.

He does that all the time, I told him he was a cooking funt years ago, I hope I'm not libeling the thread.

I was surprised at how thorough the Wall St Journal investigated the matter prior to breaking the news. I noticed the Daily News was next, but they largely regurgitated WSJ work.

Where does Contador figure in all of this? I guess that Bruyneel's Astana was as dirty as Posta/disco, was Alberto on his own or does Bruyneel has something on him and may take him down with the sinking ship?

Bravo, Floyd -- not for being the fab cyclist you used to think you were, but for finally becoming the better person your parents believed they raised.

I believe the timing of this statement has EVERYTHING to do with conscience, the statute of limitations, and Floyd's anger at hypocritical key players in cycling. The Tour of California? Please! If the news didn't break during the ToC, naysayers would claim another race had been sullied. There is cycling from January to November!

If the story broke in December, people would say, "Thanks Floyd, for ruining Christmas, you pr!ck!"

Bravo Floyd. Speak out, speak the truth, and provide a complete statement of the facts as you know them. The whole truth, however expensive, will be cycling's salvation.

The sport has been filthy since its inception. I know. I competed in the 1970's. Same sport, different dope.

+1
Couldn't agree more.

Someone should ask Taylor Phinney what he thinks about big tex now

That he is doing the same thing LA and the rest of the peleton are doing? Until they figure out how to test for the re-introduction of a rider's own blood, you can understand the position cycling finds itself in.

As soon as the kids are on their own and the payments stop the "post"-nuptial agreement will hold less water

You are gonna find that most riders manage their own programmes, behind closed doors away from other riders. Everyone has to understand that there are other FL's in the making. It's too dangerous for too much organization.

Sport journalism is always a dicy thing. You need access, so often people get too cozy. Stories like this will usually break in non-sport newspapers where journalists have the liberty of some journalistic integrity.

I am gonna try to rack up the 1000th post in this thread. I hear Trek are giving away a special edition Madone for the 1000th post.

It's about time

I've found that I just didn't care to watch or pay attention to any of the races this year. Mainly because (after reading Lance to Landis and a few other cycling books) I was convinced that the EVERYONE in the front of the peloton was doping.

I'm very disappointed to see that the back of the peloton is also doping.

I'll bet there are now a few people who wished that they had done more to get Floyd into the Tour of California. It's really difficult to be the only one who is getting punished for something that everyone else is doing.

Dear Floyd:
Good on you. I just hope that you're strong enough to handle the s**t storm that's about to land on you.

I just had a daydream. Instead of all these dopers circling the wagoons, and lying through their teeth, again, and again. Wouldn't it be nice if they came together, held a press conference, admitted their acts, and actually tried to make the sport into something that I could give a c**p about.

Time has proven Conseco to be correct.

If you think this is going away you are dreaming. The Feds are involved, you don't lie to the Feds. They have other witness besides Landis. Your boy is cooked, time to catch up with reality.

From what I've read... Landis has stated he's got no documentation or evidence.

So what you have is someone making accusations... someone who already has very damaged credibility (due to his previous statements about being clean.)

The point with Canseco is that there was no investigation started due to his claims. Did they prove to be correct? Largely they did. Do I think Landis is lying? No I don't... I think virtually everyone who has finished in the top 10 of a grand tour the last 20 years was doped up to the gills... I think they're all guilty.

But I simply don't think anything at all will come of it. No suspensions, no missed race days, nobody will be fired. Perhaps Landis gets hit with a perjury charge... but that's it.

Roger Clemmons was implicated with a used syringe with his blood on it containing HGH... and nothing came of it. In this case there isn't any physical evidence. I can't see anyone going down because of it. It may affect public opinion... but that's it.

Floyd's revengeful motivation in doing this now is in no way brave or heroic - he ****ted all over people who had strong evidence against him and now he's doing the same thing because he's out of money and friends. Don't like the guy - I knew he was lying when he went on Larry King with his denial after the TdeF - anyone who can read body language could tell that with his constant swallowing and fidgeting.

Is that Star Trek??

Is is a 'blood red' issue? Will Floyds name be on it?

That's quite right. I can't really follow the sport any more. For the first time in years, I have no idea what's going on at the Giro. It's a million miles from the riding I do. I can't relate.
