Unfortunately the 2nd best race in the world may not have enough stages in order for all the wheels to fall off.
Where you getting this? I actually wouldn't be the least surprised if it is actually TRUE. LA the only one listed with deep enough pockets to settle the issue.euanli said:Haha, he has claimed Landis has been trying to blackmail him
thehog said:I do. I was just referring to his statement. It just said he was honest didn't say he didn't dope.

I don't necessarily think Landis is lying... but he's got credibility issues. This reminds me a lot of Jose Conseco writing his books about steroid use in baseball.
In the end, much of what he said turned out to be accurate. But his credibility was so bad that nobody could really enact any kind of investigation based on his statements with no documentation or evidence to back what he said.
Same situation here... a disgruntled athelete who has largely been blackballed by his sport throwing names around with no evidence. Regardless of how accurate the statements are... there's nothing there to actually warrant investigation that wasn't there already.

Race Radio said:Lance was just on CNN, he says he has nothing to hide.

Publicus said:I think the credibility issue is moot if, and this is a big if, he has habitually kept a training journal/diary since well before becoming a pro with USPS. It would be a contemporaneous record of events that could be entered into evidence (usually it would be rejected as hearsay but this is a clear exception) and corroborate his current testimony. Lance and others would be in hard place to dispute a journal/diary entry written at a time when Floyd's motives were not in question. But that's the big "if". The other is someone else from USPS/Discovery/Astana corroborates his stories.

scribe said:It's worthless to debate with RR on the finer points of Armstrong. He knows damn well there is nothing to the civil suit testimony. He just doing it to make the thread a little glossier. While, I think RR is generally wanting of a cleaner sport, his hard-on for Armstrong makes it difficult to get into much of what he is pitching.

Gee333 said:Marion Jones was an Olympic Sprinter. Track and Field gets more respect and coverage than cycling does.
As for Tammy, her photo was the **** of many jokes on the web but still not many outside the cycling circle know or care who he/she was.
Actually I agree with you now about that. But are we even sure that the leaked email came from Landis? There was no direct comment until ESPN spoke to him.scribe said:If you consider it strategically, Landis is his own worst enemy. He didn't need any help lol. Even if JB and LA are correctly implicated (frankly I think they are), to do nothing in advance only helps with the innocence perception.
Race Radio said:Lance was just on ESPN. He says that Floyd is a liar. No Proof.
Smoke and Mirrors
Alpe d'Huez said:Fascinating that a lot of LA fans and supporters aren’t coming out saying it isn’t true and the truth will prove Lance clean, as much as they are saying Floyd is a liar with no credibility, and this will blow over and people won’t believe him.
So far, this, and most other places are showing a lot of people believe him.
