Good job, I know it was my suggestion but Mrs rata has requested I watch the futbol so I am unable to assist :D

This posting now looks odd so let me explain: Teamskyfan put together a list of links on this subject for the sticky thread, and the easiest thing to do was simply to move his posting there.

Thank you very much for putting that together!

The news about the investigation came out a couple of days before Christmas. An arm of French Law Enforcement had gone through medical waste from a number of teams looking for items or signs of activity that are illegal in France. The group, Central Office against Environmental Damage and Public Health (OCLAESP), only had sufficient evidence to pursue Astana.

<snipped for brevity>

I had forgotten the timeline on the infusion kits. Interesting that Floyd tweeted this on the following dates from his official Twitter account that has since been closed.

Today, on my ride, I had some very interesting thoughts. I was laughing so hard that I just turned around, went home and started writing.

Planning something for 2010 that will change the cycling world forever!

I am guessing that Floyd may have been cooperating with American and/or French authorities for quite some time.

We were talking about this at work (even with those who dont follow cycling) one question came up that I hope would be investigated

I believe that there is alligations of bribery.....If Armstrong was someone that went down that road as well, did he use any of the money he was given through his "Livestrong Charity"? Would anyone know??

I doubt he would have to.

Could do, who knows. I would seriously love it if this opened up an investigation into the accounts of Livestrong.org and Livestrong.com.

Borrowing heavily from another source, tut tut.

The bottom line is that the outcome of the Tour is not now a foregone

transfusion. We will have the latest Zimmer technology versus humane

Tortosoids, the outcome being as convincingly corrupted as what now pi$$es us off as good clean spurt.

Doubtful.

Charity money is very heavily tracked. The accounting is stricter then most public corporations even. It would be extremely difficult to hide the trail.

I'd be shocked if any bribery came from anything but personal funds.

If you follow drugs, you get drug addicts and drug dealers and doctors and riders and cheats. But you start to follow the money, and you don't know where the **** it's gonna take you.

With that said I doubt there is any paper trail if the allegations are true

I suppose but anything is possible - if your able to hide years of organised doping you can hide anything

I'd still like someone to check that though

I'd love to see the Attorney General of California detain and interrogate everyone associated with the John Gotti Tour of California, impound all their equipment and tear it down to the nap, and subpoena all the sponsors. All the incriminating evidence and testimony needed to take down pro cycling is probably sitting right there under our noses.

Best TV show ever in my opinion. Great quote, and great hope in all of this is that someone will follow the money.

The LAF has public records. Anyone with interest can pour through them and try to find an anomaly. But in reality there'd be little purpose... there are a lot easier ways to do it.

If you want to go all conspiracy theory on it, it would be more likely that he got Demand Media to funnel the money. As a privately owned company, they don't have to report very much publicly and then any check wouldn't have Lance's name on it.

I really doubt that they would ever have been playing fast and loose with the bank accounts of a registered charity that is that high profile.

Where it does stink to high heaven is just the whole " .org / .com " thing.

How many people have gone onto the .com website over the years and spent money there, thinking they were on the charity web-site? The .com site doesn't exactly scream at you " hey , this isn't the charity website" - it does scream " give me more money"

The whole thing is a very shrewd and deliberate bait and switch.

My thought is zero people have done that. I've tried to find somewhere you can spend money on the livestrong.com site before and failed. Anything with a store or donation link redirects you to the .org site.

It's too far gone.
we could dismantle it and start again afresh......
