You keep suggesting that this won't stick to Lance - the T-Mobile incident shows that all it needs is one person to back up Floyds version and everyone cracks.

Lance may never get a suspension - like Riis - but his name as any type of ambassador or athlete will be in ruins.

And if the Feds are on this - will he lie under oath?

Well we're talking about something different then.

This very well could affect him in PR terms (which I've said several times in this thread). Roger Clemmons is widely thought of as a doper at this point... but he's never been charged with anything.

Lance will probably lie under oath about this... but it will only matter if there is very clear evidence that he lied. In the Marion Jones case, she told an investigator under oath that she never used PED's... then under oath at another point admitted that she did.

Barring a self-contradiction like that, it's very tough to legally prove beyond a doubt that a person who said they never doped did actually dope.

can you show us his testimony from that event?
It's worthless to debate with RR on the finer points of Armstrong. He knows damn well there is nothing to the civil suit testimony. He just doing it to make the thread a little glossier. While, I think RR is generally wanting of a cleaner sport, his hard-on for Armstrong makes it difficult to get into much of what he is pitching.

"I wanted to clear my conscious"

"I don't feel guilty"

2 sides of his mouth

Dear Floyd, It is one or the other in a coming out and pointing party

This is why you are where you

I don't doubt Lance did it. That is not the story here though thanks to you agian

But your word is not genuine based on your inability it shoot straight at any level. Therefore no one will respect it or you and the accused has an out

Fail again partner

nice try though

Next time try putting the same amount of time into this thesis that you did to your lies and fraud and you might have a keeper

Search the Betsy Andreu thread - there was quite a lot of the depositions on that including him not knowing how much money he gave to the UCI.

I'll have to take your word for it as I didn't locate it in a search. Not knowing how much he gave to the UCI isn't material to Landis' charge, however.

Landis is spiralling down since the time they busted him.
In the beginning it was a conspiracy against him. He used a hacker to compromise the evidence from the french lab, as to prove that he was right.
After almost 4 years in which time he have spent all his wealth and all his credibility now it's time to lose all his dignity as well.
I mean, OK, there's more than a fair chance that he says the truth. Can he support his claims? I doubt it. Is he offering to the authorities knowledge that can be used against doping and dopers? From what I have read, he just spoke about obsolete methods, obsolete because already detectable.
So what he have accomplished anyway? A big zero. Or less than zero if we speak about his dignity. I' m afraid that he' ll have a tragic end, he must be so alone, with no support whatsoever. In any case I'm glad he didn't win the Tour...

I am not sure what to make of this. His reputation is dirt after the last 4 years of trying to prove his lies were true.

Although Lance has never been proven positive and suspended many will argue for or against him with the evidence at hand.

This should come as no surprise to any rational individual with an IQ>70. In fact the top 20 finishers in the TDF for the last 10+ years have all been juiced in my opinion.

I am disappointed that my favorite rider George Hincapie as been implicated.

I hope that Contador is caught before he wins several TDF's. Contador is the new Lance.

Go ahead and add this to almost every professional sport and revenue generating amateur sport. The 90's was a particularly rough period in sports. Everyone was smashing records and authorities were A-OK with it.

No mention of doping thou.

No direct denial - maybe Lance will be the stupid one.

Doubtful though, afterall, how stupid would he be to dope considering he's the most tested athlete in the world?

Have I just walked in on a Judge Judy show?

Cycling may not be that big in America - although I am sure there will be a lot more coverage of the ToC this evening - do you think that the rest of the cycling world is going to sit back and let the accusations go unanswered?

The UCI are in huge trouble. Riders have been named and it effects at least 3 big teams. This is being reported around the world - Lance appearing on Larry King will not cut it this time.

And once the cracks appear they will all lead back to one man.

I admire Landis' balls for doing this...I really do...I think tho' it might have had a more realistic shot via credibility (tho I guess that remains to be played out...let's just hope someone else comes forward) if he had first just admitted his guilt and let that sit awhile, say 6 months or a year...and then implicated the other guilty ones and described the whole scenario...then it might have had a chance to survive the gigantic bull**** denial onslaught we are gonna see...

Would you not think he would remember flying to Switzerland with Bruyneel to pay off the UCI to make an EPO positive go away?

The world is a big wide place and it is precisely because cycling is pretty much a fringe in North America that Armstrong and his merry band HAVE to go to Europe to build the legend, that this is so big.

Who cares if the US authorities do anything?

The French will. They are probably spell checking the arrest warrants right now.

If Armstrong can't set foot in France again, what happens to the "legend" and the money machine???

Didn't think of that...yet... arrest Lance in France wow that would be a topic

This is Rasmussen all over again.

Unfortunately the 2nd best race in the world may not have enough stages in order for all the wheels to fall off.

Remember that taped phone conversation Greg had with the gal from Oakley

" I wonder what George's kid will look like"

I do. I was just referring to his statement. It just said he was honest didn't say he didn't dope.
