Any signs of motor doping? I'm wondering whether the bike suddenly started sliding uphill as if he was on rails.
What happens if someone falls off his bike and the bike rides on by itself to win the stage?
Brailsford will call it a rehearsed move. Walsh will applaud SKY's willingness to experiment. Cookson will launch an independent investigation led by his own son. Swart will conclude that the rider simply lost weight. Vaughters will proclaim that the incident is the start of a new, clean era for race bikes.

Fixed that for you.

He might even add a line about the engine being there the whole time.

At one point Froome had three of his domestiques swarming up ahead of the riders attacking. They would then cut in front of the riders trying to get away and bully them to slow them down. That takes a different level of dominance to anything I've seen before, and Poels was doing this and dragging Froome up the mountain at the same time. Unreal today.

Can't have been a hard day for him, didn't need any Coca-Cola. I hope that doesn't stop him getting a sponsorship deal with them.

WP is just insane!! almost escorting Froome to the finish line like nothing - and after two weeks of pulling killing paces in the mountains......

insane!!

Impressive, Astana were on 460w and blew themselves up, Poels was doing 450w with his mouth closed.

nothing weird there...marginal gains, superior training, fairy dust, blah, blah, blah

In all fairness, Froome MUST give Poels a HUGE cheque for his "remarkable contribution" to his TDF title...

You mean the last three stages I assume? Because he was nowhere the first two weeks? Henao was a level above him. But I assume you seen how good Poels was for Uran at that Giro?

You're out of order, he was only good at Sky, they taught him how to dope etc. Etc. Etc.

Exactly - its only possible with a motor ! and its the only explanation for Sky's alien domination.

Italian RAI TV showing the Tour replays. was watching the Lioran stage today (GVA won)

Poels was gone when Sky took control 20 k to go. he arrived at 17:59, 12 minutes from the main group. In Luchon (Froome won) he lost 11 minutes, in Andorra he arrived at 14:00 minutes, 6:30 from Froome.

he never was with the main group in the first part of the Tour. the minutes he lost confirm that.

Sky were using their riders strengths over the 3 weeks. A definitely rota going on where nobody was really ever going into the red fro more than a week really. Just like the stage hunters that aim to be strong in 3Rd week, you need to really be sitting up at the end of stages in week 2 before for your body to be able to respond with the attacks in weeks 3.

Off course he did, Poels can win one week stage races, not three weeks. It aient rocket science you know.

I know, I was just writing some number down for those who were surprised about how good he was in the last week.

Has Poels ever had his bike tested for motors? I mean too many times he has done that stupid pace at the front, dropping loads of riders and then just waiting for Froome to go full washing machine before he casually rolls in. I would presume seeing as he was never a huge GC threat that he'd escape xraying a lot of the time.

Even yesterday he's out of it, then he strolls his way up to the front without much effort and then hammers it for ages....it makes no sense whatsoever. It also coincides with the theory Kirby loves to shove down people's throats of Froome dropping back, looking up the road and attacking. Yo-yo-ing makes no sense either, sheer motor usage imo. But that's the narrative shoved by Kirby and people just accept it as one of these things.

I wonder will they let him have a go at the Vuelta....must be tempting for them to have 3 different GT winners the same year.
