Team UAE deserves massive congratulations for Tadej Pogačar’s stunning performance on the climb last night. Coming off a gruelling spring classics season, this result is a true testament to the team’s meticulous preparation, resilience, and unwavering commitment.

Even when comparing his ascent to historical benchmarks — excluding performances potentially influenced by performance-enhancing aids — Pogačar was 1 minute and 10 seconds faster than Armand de las Cuevas’ impressive 36:18 in 1994.

The clean climbing leaderboard now reads:

1 Tadej Pogacar. 35:08 2025
2. Armand De las Cuevas 36:18. 1994
3. Fernando Escartin. 36:26 1996
4. Jonas Vingegaard. 26:34. 2022
