I strongly doubt it.

For years they had been eternal favourites, always getting a lot of votes and having a lot of troubles winning in general, but always managing to sneak with a win before someone else.

They will win it when people expect it the least. They are in perfect situation for this. No prolific winners (hmmm, maybe Cort), avoiding many of the small races and always doing poorly with whatever few sprinters they have. They don't even need a poor season, just right circumstances.

DSM have a way of surprising people when they look to be in a bad spot. I'll go with AG2R here, they don't have many prolific winners, only won once prior to the Giro last year and the French races have better fields these days.

Yeah, it would have taken a Nizzolo or Walls win (or Arndt) but they weren't really in sight. Of course, few people were in sight of Jakobsen at the line. I don't think QuickStep will stay at 2 wins for the duration of the year.
