Couldn't find a man more Bardiani-bound if you tried.
Bardiani have now started signing guys straight out of the junior ranks and developing them themselfs, see Pellizzari, so I'm not that sure. He also doesn't ride for a typical big Italian u23 team and rode for Mastromarco-Nibali during the last 2 seasons, so maybe the Nibali connection can get him a contract on a bigger team.

That said, the guy is legit. Look at his performances in Valle d'Aosta and Ronde de L'isard. Apparently he was sick during the Baby Giro

20s time penalty for Widar for some unknown reason.

EDIT: nvm, apparently a mistake from organization, penalty is for Rex, not for Widar

Word doing the rounds is that Crescioli told Theiler he wouldn't sprint for the win so he just carried on going, then he sprinted around him at the end, hence the drama at the finish.

Yeah, that's what directvelo and German media report. But there's also Crescioli saying this was all tactical game. In the end the smarter rider won, the stronger rider lost. It will be a lesson for both.

People were complaining about Tashkent at the Tour Femmes, but five of the six Mexican riders OTLing yesterday isn't exactly much better...

Was surprised to see Carlos Alfonso Garcia OTL. He's a decent rider with some good results and, although not a climber, has never had problems with time limits. But then I saw from the time gaps on Monday that he must have crashed on stage 1. Maybe some of the others got eliminated trying to help Garcia to the finish.

Can we please have two separate threads? I find this utterly confusing to have two totally separate races discussed in one thread.
Also this.

For all the modern complaints about cycling coverage I've gone from having to watch early-2000 tour stages the day after on borrowed vhs because I didn't have Sky and trawling through illicit angelfire boards looking for Basque country replays to 2024 U23 races being broadcast from near the start.

Morgado is done, not sure why he's here tbh, Belgium and GB pulling.

Morgado still had dreams of winning the TDF one day, maybe he wanted to see how realistic those dreams actually are.
